DESCRIPTION
Victron 600A Busbar 4P: Professional High-Current Distribution for Marine and Off-Grid Systems
Streamlined Power Management with Integrated Cover and Stainless Steel Terminals
The Victron 600A Busbar 4P is engineered for demanding DC distribution tasks in marine, solar, and mobile energy systems. Designed to centralise high-current connections, this busbar reduces wiring complexity while maintaining secure, low-resistance contact across all terminals. The included removable protective cover and fire-rated ABS base provide essential insulation, making it a reliable choice for professional installers and system integrators.
Unlike generic busbars that rely on basic brass or unplated copper, the Victron unit features a heavy-duty tin-plated copper bar (19 x 24 mm) for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insert-moulded stainless steel studs eliminate the need for a bottom securing nut, allowing higher torque values and consistent electrical contact over time—critical in high-vibration environments such as engine rooms or off-road vehicles.
Key Features
- 600 A continuous rating at up to 70 VDC for high-demand battery banks and inverter/charger setups
- Four 3/8"-16 (approx. M10) stainless steel studs with flange nuts accept heavy-duty lugs up to 4/0 AWG (approx. 95 mm²)
- Additional #8 (4.2 mm) stainless steel screw terminals for auxiliary connections such as monitoring leads or balance wires
- Tin-plated copper conductor resists oxidation and ensures stable performance in humid or salt-laden air
- UL 94 V-0 rated ABS base provides flame-retardant mounting and pre-drilled holes to prevent accidental shorts to metal surfaces
- Detachable ABS cover (UL 94 V-2) shields live terminals from accidental contact and debris
- Raised bus design simplifies cable routing and inspection, keeping installations tidy and serviceable
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Marine and off-grid applications expose electrical components to moisture, vibration, and temperature swings. The Victron 600A Busbar addresses these challenges with stainless steel hardware throughout—studs, flange nuts, and screw terminals—eliminating the risk of galvanic corrosion that plagues zinc-plated alternatives. The tin-plated copper bar maintains low contact resistance even after years of service, reducing voltage drop and heat buildup at connection points.
The insert-moulded stud design is a standout feature: by embedding the stud directly into the base, Victron removes a common failure point found in busbars that use a nut under the bar. This construction allows a recommended torque of 20 N·m (180 lbf·inch) on the main terminals, ensuring a gas-tight connection that withstands thermal cycling without loosening.
Applications
This 4-terminal busbar is ideally suited for:
- Marine DC panels: consolidate battery, alternator, and distribution feeds in a single, protected location
- Solar battery banks: create a common negative or positive bus for parallel battery strings and charge controllers
- RV and caravan power systems: manage high-current connections between lithium batteries, inverters, and DC-DC chargers
- Industrial off-grid setups: organise wiring in remote telecom, monitoring, or pumping stations
For larger systems, the 8-terminal variant (available separately) offers additional connection points without sacrificing current capacity.
Installation Confidence
Pre-drilled mounting holes and a compact footprint (65 x 216 x 86 mm with cover) allow flexible placement inside enclosures or on bulkheads. The cover features multiple cable entry cutouts, accommodating various wire gauges while maintaining protection. By centralising connections, the busbar reduces the number of terminations on battery posts, lowering the risk of loose connections and simplifying future maintenance.
Whether you are building a new marine electrical system or upgrading an existing solar installation, the Victron 600A Busbar 4P delivers the reliability and safety expected from a premium power distribution component.

WARRANTY
Victron Energy Limited Warranty Policy
Direct Customers
Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users. This support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support will provide further guidance on the procedure for end-users to make a claim under this limited warranty.
If the end-user is a consumer – a natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside that person's trade, business, craft or profession – the following applies. The rights and remedies granted to the consumer under this limited warranty are without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory rights. Furthermore, the consumer is entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods (such as repair, replacement, price reduction or rescission), which remedies are not affected by this limited warranty.
Warranty
Victron Energy warrants its products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 66 months from the Victron Energy invoice date.
