Use the guided tour before your first layout
Select the question-mark tour button in the tool header. The tour introduces the tool switcher, starting design controls, component controls, canvas, project actions and review stage. It is the quickest way to understand the workflow without hunting through every control.
When an item is selected, the tour can also point out the controls that only appear for that item. That makes the walkthrough useful even if you have already opened the builder once.
A practical board-planning workflow
Measure the real installation area, including door openings, cable-entry paths and space needed to service fuses or disconnectors. Enter the usable dimensions rather than the absolute wall dimensions. Then place the largest or least-flexible components first and use the remaining area for smaller protection and distribution equipment.
Treat the layout as a design and quotation aid, not an electrical approval. Cable protection, ventilation, clearances, conductor sizing and installation methods still need to suit the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and applicable standards. A qualified installer should review the final system where required.
