Stäubli MC4 Connector Pair

DESCRIPTION

Genuine Stäubli MC4 Connector Pair for 4-6mm2 Solar PV Systems

Ensure maximum safety and efficiency in your solar array with the genuine Stäubli MC4 Connector Pair. Specifically engineered to suit solar cables with an outside diameter of 5.5mm to 9mm, typically 4mm2 to 6mm2, these industry standard photovoltaic connectors provide a highly reliable electrical link for demanding renewable energy applications. Rated for up to 39A, this male and female connector set is designed to minimise power loss while maintaining long term stability in the field.

Superior Performance with MULTILAM Technology

The defining feature of genuine Stäubli connectors is their proprietary MULTILAM contact technology. Unlike generic alternatives that rely on simple friction fit contacts, the MULTILAM system uses specially formed, resilient contact bands that maintain constant spring pressure. This results in an exceptionally low contact resistance of just 0.25 mΩ. For your solar installation, this means significantly reduced thermal stress, virtually eliminating the risk of hot spots, arc faults, or connector failure under heavy DC loads.

Engineered for Harsh Environmental Conditions

Solar connections must withstand decades of UV exposure, temperature fluctuations, and moisture. These components boast an IP65 and IP68 protection rating when mated, allowing them to resist dust ingress and submersion up to one metre for one hour. Furthermore, they are independently tested for ammonia resistance and salt mist spray, making them highly suitable for coastal environments, marine applications, and agricultural settings across Australia. The high grade PC and PA insulation materials ensure stable operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Celsius up to an upper limiting temperature of 105 degrees Celsius.

Secure and Compliant Wiring

Safety is a critical factor in any high voltage DC wiring system. The built in locking mechanism prevents accidental disconnections under load and complies with strict electrical safety standards. By using a proper crimping tool to secure the tin plated copper pins to your 6mm2 or 4mm2 cable, you create a robust, gas tight connection that will not degrade over time. The integrated rear compression cable gland provides a secondary seal against water and dust, securing the connection point firmly.

Where a replacement is provided, the faulty product becomes the property of the supplier unless otherwise agreed.

Refund or credit: In some cases, a refund or credit may be provided. Refunds will usually be handled by the original place of purchase and will not exceed the original purchase price paid for the affected product unless otherwise required by law.

No charge for approved claims: For approved warranty claims, the approved remedy will be provided at no charge to the customer. Reasonable return freight may be covered where required by law or where expressly approved in advance.

No extension of original warranty: Repair or replacement under this warranty does not restart or extend the original warranty period. The warranty continues from the original purchase date.

Limit of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, refund, credit, or approved remedy relating to the defective Stäubli product supplied by us.

We are not responsible for special, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from product failure, installation issues, misuse, system design, incompatible components, or breach of warranty. This includes, to the extent permitted by law, third-party labour, removal or reinstallation costs, lost solar generation, downtime, travel costs, access equipment, freight not approved by us, property damage, personal injury, damage to other equipment, or economic loss.

Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
