DESCRIPTION
Victron BlueSolar MPPT 150/100-Tr VE.Can: High-Capacity Solar Charge Controller for Large Off-Grid Systems
Advanced MPPT Technology for 12V, 24V, and 48V Battery Banks
The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 150/100-Tr VE.Can is a professional-grade solar charge controller engineered for demanding off-grid and hybrid energy systems. With a 100 A rated charge current and support for 12V, 24V, and 48V battery banks (36V configurable via software), it efficiently manages large solar arrays up to 5800 W at 48V. Its ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm continuously optimises energy harvest, even under partial shading or fluctuating light conditions, ensuring your batteries receive maximum available power throughout the day.
Unlike generic PWM controllers, the BlueSolar MPPT 150/100-Tr uses advanced MPPT technology to convert excess voltage into higher charge current, significantly improving overall system efficiency—up to 98% peak conversion efficiency. This means faster charging, reduced energy loss, and better utilisation of your solar investment, particularly in cooler climates where panel voltage rises.
Designed for Large-Scale and Parallel Installations
This controller is built for scalability. With VE.Can communication, you can synchronise up to 25 units in parallel, making it ideal for large residential, commercial, or industrial off-grid systems. The VE.Can interface also enables seamless integration with Victron GX monitoring devices (such as the Color Control GX or Cerbo GX) and the VRM online portal, allowing remote monitoring, firmware updates, and system management from anywhere.
For installations requiring Bluetooth connectivity, the BlueSolar model can be upgraded with an optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle (sold separately). This provides wireless access to VictronConnect for configuration and real-time data, while maintaining the security benefit of a physically disconnected Bluetooth module when not in use.
Robust Protection and Adaptive Charging
Engineered for reliability in harsh environments, the BlueSolar MPPT 150/100-Tr features comprehensive electronic protection including PV reverse polarity, output short circuit, and over-temperature safeguards. The controller automatically derates power output when internal temperatures rise, preventing damage and extending service life. Its IP43-rated electronics (IP22 for connection area) provide resistance against dust and water ingress, suitable for unconditioned indoor installations.
The multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm with eight preprogrammed battery presets ensures optimal charging for various battery chemistries, including lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium (with user-defined settings). Temperature compensation adjusts charge voltages based on ambient conditions, protecting batteries from overcharging in heat and undercharging in cold.

Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users. This support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support will provide further guidance on the procedure for end-users to make a claim under this limited warranty.
