DESCRIPTION
Victron VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro-C Male Cable: Reliable Marine Network Integration
Seamless Data Communication for Victron and NMEA 2000 Devices
Integrate your Victron energy equipment into a standard NMEA 2000 network with the Victron VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro-C Male Cable. This purpose-built adapter cable provides a direct, plug-and-play connection between a Victron VE.Can port and the marine industry's widely adopted NMEA 2000 backbone, enabling efficient data sharing across navigation, communication, and power management systems.
Engineered for the demanding conditions of marine and mobile environments, this cable ensures stable, interference-free data transmission. Its robust construction and thoughtful design features help maintain network reliability, reducing the risk of communication dropouts that can compromise situational awareness and system monitoring.
Key Features
- Direct VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Connectivity: Converts Victron's VE.Can protocol for seamless integration with standard NMEA 2000 networks, allowing GX devices like the Cerbo GX to share battery status, solar yield, and other critical data with compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays.
- Integrated Power Supply Leads: Includes red and black bare wire leads to supply power to the NMEA 2000 backbone, with a built-in fuse that can be inserted or removed to control whether the Victron device powers the network.
- Secure Micro-C Male Connector: Features a threaded Micro-C male plug that locks firmly into NMEA 2000 tees, resisting vibration and accidental disconnection in rough seas.
- Durable Marine-Grade Construction: The flexible blue jacket and corrosion-resistant connectors are built to withstand salt spray, UV exposure, and temperature extremes, ensuring long-term performance.
- Wide Voltage Compatibility: Victron VE.Can ports accept up to 70 V, while the cable's power leads can be adapted to suit NMEA 2000 devices typically requiring 12 V or up to 30–36 V, offering flexibility in system design.
Why This Cable Matters for Your Marine Network
In a typical marine installation, disparate electronics often operate in isolation. The Victron VE.Can to NMEA 2000 cable bridges that gap, enabling centralised monitoring and control. By connecting a Victron GX device to the NMEA 2000 bus, you can view real-time energy data directly on your chartplotter, eliminating the need for separate displays and reducing helm clutter.
Unlike generic CAN-bus adapters, this cable is specifically engineered for the Victron ecosystem, ensuring correct pinout, impedance matching, and signal integrity. The integrated fuse and power leads simplify installation, removing the guesswork from powering the NMEA 2000 backbone and protecting against overcurrent faults.
Installation and Compatibility
Installation is straightforward: connect the RJ45 plug to any Victron VE.Can port (found on devices like the Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, or Venus GX), and attach the Micro-C male connector to a standard NMEA 2000 tee. The power leads can be wired to a 12 V or 24 V source, with the fuse providing a convenient way to disable power if the network is already powered elsewhere.
This cable is compatible with all Victron products featuring a VE.Can interface and any NMEA 2000 network using Micro-C connectors. It is particularly valuable for vessels upgrading to integrated digital switching or those adding Victron energy monitoring to an existing NMEA 2000 setup.
Reliable Data for Confident Navigation
When you're navigating coastal waters or crossing open seas, dependable data is essential. The Victron VE.Can to NMEA 2000 cable helps ensure that critical information—such as battery state of charge, solar input, and alternator output—is accurately transmitted to your navigation displays. This integration supports better decision-making, optimises energy management, and enhances overall safety on board.
Upgrade your marine electronics network with the Victron VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro-C Male Cable and experience seamless, reliable data communication across your vessel's systems.

WARRANTY
Victron Energy Limited Warranty Policy
Direct Customers
Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users. This support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support will provide further guidance on the procedure for end-users to make a claim under this limited warranty.
If the end-user is a consumer – a natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside that person's trade, business, craft or profession – the following applies. The rights and remedies granted to the consumer under this limited warranty are without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory rights. Furthermore, the consumer is entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods (such as repair, replacement, price reduction or rescission), which remedies are not affected by this limited warranty.
Warranty
Victron Energy warrants its products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 66 months from the Victron Energy invoice date. Exceptions on this are: lead-acid batteries: 2 years from date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 30 months from the Victron Energy invoice date, Lithium batteries: 3 years from date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 42 months from the Victron Energy invoice date. In addition to this, proof of correct battery usage is required when making a battery warranty claim.
For a 10% surcharge on the current net price for products that came with a 5-year warranty, an additional 5 years of warranty can be purchased by Victron’s direct customers, bringing the total warranty to 10 years. Warranty extensions need to be applied for ultimately one year before the expiration of the original term. Victron may ask proof that the product was still functional at the time of purchase of the extended warranty.
During the warranty period, Victron Energy will, at its discretion, repair, replace or (partly) credit the defective product free of charge. The warranty does not include performing or reimbursing de‐installation, transportation, and re‐installation.
