Blue Sea Panel 360 52mm Gauge Blank

DESCRIPTION

Heavy-Duty Modular Mounting for 52mm Marine and Off-Grid Instruments

Creating a clean, organised, and reliable electrical dashboard requires components built to withstand the rigours of mobile and marine environments. The Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel System is renowned for its versatility, and this 52mm gauge blank module provides a dedicated, professional-grade mounting solution for standard round instruments. Whether you are installing a battery monitor, voltmeter, tank level indicator, or engine gauge, this blank module integrates seamlessly into any 360 Panel frame to monitor critical onboard functions.

Unlike standard plastic mounts that can flex, warp, or crack under vibration and extreme temperature fluctuations, this module is engineered for long-term structural integrity. It allows system builders and marine electricians to expand or customise their control panels without needing to fabricate custom metal faceplates from scratch.

Engineered for Harsh Marine and RV Environments

At the core of this mounting module is a heavy 1/8-inch (approx. 3.2mm) 5052 alloy aluminium body. In marine and off-road applications, 5052 aluminium is highly regarded for its exceptional resistance to saltwater corrosion and high fatigue strength. This substantial thickness prevents panel flex when securing gauges and ensures that heavy instruments remain firmly seated even when pounding through rough seas or traversing corrugated outback tracks.

To complement the alloy body, the module includes a UV-stabilised thermoplastic bezel. Constant exposure to harsh Australian sunlight can quickly degrade inferior plastics, leading to chalking and brittleness. This specialised bezel resists solar degradation, maintaining a clean, uniform aesthetic across your console or cabin dashboard while concealing the mounting hardware for a neat finish.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Standard 52mm Cutout: Pre-machined circular opening accommodates industry-standard 52mm (approx. 2-inch) diameter marine, automotive, and battery monitoring gauges.
  • Marine-Grade Construction: Manufactured from heavy 1/8-inch (approx. 3.2mm) 5052 alloy aluminium for superior corrosion resistance and rigidity.
  • UV-Stabilised Bezel: Durable thermoplastic trim ring protects against sun damage and conceals mounting screws for a streamlined appearance.
  • Seamless 360 Panel Integration: Modular footprint snaps and secures directly into Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel enclosures alongside switches, breakers, and socket modules.
  • Vibration Resistant: Solid metal backing reduces the risk of gauge loosening or dashboard cracking in high-vibration environments.

Versatile Applications Across Custom Electrical Systems

The modular nature of the 360 Panel range means your electrical layout can evolve alongside your power requirements. This 52mm gauge mounting module is ideal for a wide variety of installations:

  • Marine Vessels: Mount critical engine gauges, rudder angle indicators, or 12V and 24V battery monitors at the helm or nav station.
  • Caravans and Motorhomes: Integrate water tank gauges, shunt-based battery monitors, or temperature displays into a central control hub.
  • 4WD Canopy and Service Body Setups: Build a rugged, vibration-proof power management board for auxiliary battery systems and compressor controls.
  • Off-Grid Skids and Industrial Enclosures: Provide a secure, tidy readout location for system voltage, current, or pressure monitoring.

Upgrade Your Custom Control Panel

Select this Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel gauge module to secure your critical 52mm instruments within a cohesive, marine-grade enclosure built for demanding conditions.
