Blue Sea 275A ANL Fuse
Blue Sea 275A ANL Fuse
Mica-Reinforced Body, Plated Slotted Terminals & Inspection Window

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty 275A Circuit Protection for Off-Grid, Marine, and Automotive Systems
The Blue Sea 275A ANL Fuse is engineered to provide critical overcurrent protection for high-amperage DC electrical systems. Whether you are outfitting a marine vessel, configuring a 4WD dual battery setup, or building an off-grid caravan power system, protecting your main battery banks and heavy-duty cables from short circuits is essential. Manufactured by Blue Sea Systems, a trusted name in marine and automotive electrical components, this ANL fuse ensures your high-draw appliances and wiring remain safe under demanding operational conditions.
Engineered for Conductivity and Thermal Durability
In high-current applications such as inverter installations, windlasses, and bow thrusters, poor electrical connections can lead to voltage drop and excessive heat buildup. This 275A ANL fuse addresses these challenges by utilising highly conductive plated connector blades. These terminals provide superior corrosion resistance in harsh coastal and marine environments while maintaining minimal electrical resistance.
Encasing the internal fuse element is a durable, mica-reinforced body designed to withstand the elevated temperatures typical of enclosed engine bays and compact battery compartments. To simplify system diagnostics, the housing incorporates a clear inspection window, allowing installers and operators to perform rapid visual checks and immediately identify a blown fuse without dismantling the fuse block.
Key Features and Benefits
- 275A Current Rating: Sized for heavy-duty DC circuits, high-output alternators, and large inverter banks.
- Corrosion-Resistant Blades: Plated terminals ensure high conductivity and longevity in humid or salt-laden marine environments.
- Mica-Reinforced Housing: Provides robust thermal stability and structural integrity in high-temperature installation zones.
- Visual Inspection Window: Enables instant verification of the internal fuse element status for straightforward troubleshooting.
- Slotted Terminal Design: Forked blades allow the fuse to be slid into position over mounting studs without completely removing the securing nuts, streamlining both initial installation and field replacements.
Why Upgrade from Standard Grade Fuses?
Substandard circuit protection components often suffer from inconsistent trip curves, brittle plastic housings, and rapid terminal oxidation. In a 12V, 24V, or 48V battery system, a compromised fuse can create a dangerous point of high resistance, melting the fuse holder or failing to interrupt a catastrophic fault. Choosing a precision-engineered Blue Sea ANL fuse reduces the risk of thermal runaway and premature nuisance blowing. It delivers predictable overcurrent interruption when paired with a compatible ANL fuse block and appropriately sized battery cabling.
Versatile High-Current Applications
Thanks to its compact footprint and slotted mounting tabs, this fuse integrates seamlessly into standard ANL fuse holders across a variety of mobile and stationary setups:
- Marine Electrical Systems: Main battery bank protection, bow thrusters, and anchor winches.
- Caravans and Motorhomes: Safeguarding high-wattage DC-to-AC inverters and lithium battery distribution hubs.
- 4WD and Commercial Vehicles: Protecting auxiliary battery systems, heavy-duty winches, and high-amperage DC-DC chargers.
- Off-Grid Solar Setups: Providing reliable overcurrent protection between battery banks and busbars.
Secure Your High-Current Electrical Circuits
Ensure your power distribution system is protected against severe electrical faults. Integrate the Blue Sea 275A ANL Fuse into your compatible ANL fuse block today for dependable, marine-grade circuit protection on the road, on the water, or off the grid.
