Blue Sea 250A ANL Fuse
Blue Sea 250A ANL Fuse
Silver-Plated Forked Terminals & Clear Inspection Window

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty 250A DC Overcurrent Protection for Marine and Off-Grid Systems
The Blue Sea 250A ANL Fuse provides dependable, high-capacity circuit protection for demanding DC power systems. Engineered for marine vessels, caravans, 4WDs, and off-grid solar installations, this heavy-duty fuse safeguards your primary cabling and critical electrical equipment from catastrophic short circuits and sustained overcurrent events.
Unlike unbranded alternatives that can suffer from premature failure, high voltage drop, or thermal distortion under heavy loads, Blue Sea Systems components are built to rigorous industry standards. This 250A ANL fuse is ideal for protecting high-draw appliances such as large DC-to-AC inverters, bow thrusters, windlasses, and high-output battery chargers.
Engineered for Conductivity and Harsh Environments
In high-amperage DC circuits, resistance at the connection point generates unwanted heat and reduces system efficiency. This ANL fuse features silver-plated forked terminals, which offer superior electrical conductivity and exceptional corrosion resistance compared to standard tin or brass equivalents. This makes it particularly well suited to humid coastal and marine environments where salt air rapidly degrades inferior metals.
The forked terminal design also simplifies installation and maintenance. Rather than completely removing the terminal nuts on your ANL fuse block, the slotted blades allow the fuse to slide directly onto the mounting studs, saving time during servicing in tight electrical cabinets.
Key Features and Benefits
- Silver-Plated Forked Terminals: Maximises conductivity to minimise voltage drop and heat build-up while resisting marine corrosion.
- Visual Inspection Window: A clear central window provides immediate visual confirmation of the internal fuse link status, allowing for rapid troubleshooting if a circuit trips.
- High-Temperature Housing: Constructed with a durable, glass-reinforced sandwich body designed to withstand high thermal stress without warping.
- Vibration-Resistant Construction: Secured with four heavy-duty mechanical rivets to maintain structural integrity in high-vibration 4WD, caravan, and marine environments.
- Fuse Block Compatibility: Designed to fit seamlessly into standard ANL fuse blocks for clean, enclosed DC distribution.
Reliable Protection for High-Draw Applications
When designing or upgrading a 12V, 24V, or 48V battery bank, selecting the correct overcurrent protection is critical to preventing cable damage and electrical fires. The robust mechanical assembly of the Blue Sea 250A ANL Fuse ensures that the fuse link remains stable under constant road corrugations or wave impacts, preventing nuisance blowing caused by mechanical fatigue.
Whether you are wiring a dedicated inverter circuit in a touring canopy or protecting the main positive feed from an auxiliary battery bank, this ANL fuse delivers the mechanical strength and electrical reliability required for professional-grade installations.
Upgrade Your DC Circuit Safety
Ensure your high-current cables and appliances are properly safeguarded. Pair the Blue Sea 250A ANL Fuse with a compatible ANL fuse holder to complete your heavy-duty power distribution setup.
