Blue Sea 20A 2-Circuit Terminal Block
Blue Sea 20A 2-Circuit Terminal Block
Closed-Back Insulated Base with Isolated Zinc-Plated Screw Terminals

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Electrical Distribution for Marine, Automotive, and Off-Grid Wiring
Organising complex low-current electrical connections requires components engineered for durability and safety. The Blue Sea Systems 2402B provides a dedicated, organized point of connection for two distinct electrical pathways. Rated for up to 20A per circuit, this terminal block is purpose-built for demanding 12V, 24V, and AC/DC electrical systems found in marine vessels, caravans, 4WD dual-battery canopies, and industrial control panels.
In mobile and marine environments, vibration and moisture can quickly degrade sub-standard wiring joins, such as twist-on connectors or taped splices. By replacing makeshift joins with a structured terminal block, you establish a secure mechanical connection that simplifies system maintenance, streamlines troubleshooting, and maintains low contact resistance over time.
Engineered for Safety and Mounting Versatility
A critical risk in automotive and marine electrical installations is accidental grounding against metal chassis components, aluminium boat hulls, or conductive bulkheads. This terminal block eliminates that hazard by incorporating a fully moulded closed-back design. The base completely insulates the conductive brass bus bars and screw terminals from the mounting surface, allowing you to fasten the block directly to metal panels without requiring additional insulating backing boards or spacers.
To further mitigate the risk of electrical faults, the housing features raised moulded circuit barriers between each screw pair. These physical partitions prevent ring or spade terminals from rotating into adjacent circuits, significantly reducing the chance of accidental short circuits during installation or when subjected to heavy vehicle and wave vibration.
Key Features and Benefits
- Isolated Circuit Architecture: Each screw pair forms an independent, isolated circuit, making it straightforward to pass power cleanly through bulkheads or create structured junction points.
- Insulated Closed-Back Base: Moulded backing fully separates live electrical components from the mounting substrate, permitting safe installation directly onto conductive metal surfaces.
- Raised Terminal Partitions: High physical barriers between terminals maintain strict electrical isolation and prevent adjacent lugs from making contact.
- Flexible Jumper Compatibility: Easily convert isolated circuits into a common power or ground distribution bus by bridging terminals with compatible Blue Sea Systems jumpers (sold separately).
- Corrosion-Resistant Hardware: Equipped with durable, zinc-plated screw terminals designed to provide high clamping force and reliable conductivity in damp or coastal environments.
- Integrated Mounting Flanges: Pre-moulded mounting holes at either end allow for straightforward, secure surface fastening in tight electrical enclosures or behind dash panels.
Versatile Applications Across 12V and 24V Setups
While compact in footprint, a two-circuit terminal block is an essential building block for tidy wiring looms. Because each screw pair operates independently, you can simultaneously manage a positive feed and a negative return on a single block, or manage two separate positive triggers for auxiliary lighting and instrumentation. If your layout requires splitting a single incoming feed into multiple outgoing branches, adding terminal jumpers quickly adapts the unit into a compact busbar.
Common applications include:
- Marine Helm and Console Wiring: Terminating navigation lights, bilge pump switches, depth sounders, and VHF radio power feeds.
- Caravan and RV Distribution: Creating serviceable junction points for internal LED lighting circuits, water pump controllers, and 12V monitoring sensors.
- 4WD and Service Body Canopies: Extending accessory power for work lights, central locking modules, and auxiliary gauge clusters.
- Off-Grid and Industrial Enclosures: Neatening low-amperage relay triggers, solar controller sensing wires, and battery management system (BMS) signal leads.
Upgrade Your Wiring Standards
Whether you are rectifying an existing wiring loom or building a new custom electrical board from scratch, choosing marine-grade distribution hardware reduces voltage drop and improves long-term system reliability. Add the Blue Sea 20A 2-Circuit Terminal Block to your toolkit today for a cleaner, safer, and more serviceable electrical installation.
