Blue Sea 15A A-Series Single Pole Restricted Off Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker

DESCRIPTION

Reliable Circuit Protection for Critical 24-Hour Electrical Systems

The Blue Sea A-Series 15A Single-Pole Restricted-Off Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker is specifically engineered for electrical circuits that must remain continuously active. In demanding marine, RV, and off-grid power architectures, accidental switching of essential equipment can lead to significant operational failures. This specialised circuit breaker features a unique restricted-off actuator profile that sits completely flush when engaged in the ON position. By eliminating the protruding lever angle found on standard switches, it prevents inadvertent actuation caused by bumping or snagging in tight quarters, making it an essential component for critical 24-hour circuits.

Engineered for Safety and Operational Integrity

Combining Manual switching capability with precise overcurrent protection in a single unified device, the Blue Sea Systems A-Series simplifies panel design while enhancing electrical safety. Unlike lower-tier thermal switches or basic fuse holders that can fail prematurely or allow dangerous workarounds, this professional-grade breaker incorporates a fail-safe, trip-free internal mechanism. This ensures the internal contacts cannot be manually held closed during an active fault-current condition, protecting your wiring harness, sensitive electronics, and battery banks from severe thermal damage or electrical fire risks.

  • Restricted-Off Flush Rocker: Sits flat in the ON position to prevent accidental deactivation of vital continuous-duty loads.
  • Trip-Free Safety Mechanism: Internal contacts disconnect during overcurrent events even if the actuator is physically held in the ON position.
  • High-Visibility Status Indication: A distinct colour actuator becomes clearly visible only when the breaker is in the OFF or tripped position for rapid visual diagnostics.
  • Versatile Mounting Orientation: Marked with clear international ON (I) and OFF (O) symbols to support both vertical and horizontal electrical panel layouts.
  • Integrated Brass Mounting Inserts: Threaded brass inserts provide secure, vibration-resistant panel installation suitable for harsh mobile and marine environments.
  • Clear Amperage Identification: The 15A current rating is prominently displayed on the rocker face for straightforward circuit verification and maintenance.

Ideal Applications in Marine, RV, and Off-Grid Setups

Standard rocker switches and basic breakers are prone to accidental toggling when installed in high-traffic walkways, compact helm stations, or cramped caravan electrical cupboards. The BS-7428B solves this vulnerability, offering peace of mind for systems that require uninterrupted power delivery. It is highly suited for:

  • Marine Vessels: Protecting automatic bilge pumps, high-water alarms, navigation memory circuits, and vessel monitoring systems.
  • Caravans and Motorhomes: Securing 12V or 24V refrigeration units, security systems, gas detectors, and continuous battery management electronics.
  • Off-Grid and Industrial Enclosures: Safeguarding telemetry equipment, remote communication relays, and primary control circuits.

Upgrade Your Electrical Panel Protection

Ensure your essential 24-hour circuits remain powered and protected against overcurrent faults. Integrate the Blue Sea A-Series 15A Restricted-Off Circuit Breaker into your marine or off-grid switchboard today for dependable, uninterrupted electrical performance.
