Blue Sea 12V 2-Circuit Fuse Panel, Gray, IP67 Front

DESCRIPTION

Compact Weatherproof 12V Switch and Fuse Panel for Marine and Off-Grid Consoles

Engineered specifically for exposed environments such as flybridges, open-cockpit vessels, and external 4WD canopy consoles, this two-circuit fuse and switch panel delivers dependable 12V DC circuit control and overcurrent protection. By integrating ATO/ATC fuse holders with weather-resistant switching and intuitive LED monitoring, it provides a clean, reliable solution for managing essential auxiliary loads where moisture and salt spray are constant hazards.

Unlike standard unsealed switch panels that quickly succumb to corrosion and contact failure when exposed to the elements, the Blue Sea Systems 4302B is purpose-built to endure harsh marine and outdoor conditions. It eliminates the guesswork during electrical troubleshooting and preserves night vision during low-light operation.

Key Features & Technical Benefits

  • IP67 Watertight Front Panel: When properly installed using a watertight mounting gasket, the front face is protected against dust ingress and temporary immersion up to 1m for 30 minutes.
  • Bicoloured LED Status Indicators: Visual monitoring displays red when a circuit is switched OFF, green when powered ON, and extinguishes completely to immediately indicate a blown fuse or lack of main power.
  • Independent Label Backlighting: Features a dedicated backlighting circuit that supports remote switching and dimming, allowing seamless integration with existing dash or helm illumination systems.
  • Standard ATO/ATC Fuse Protection: Utilises widely available automotive and marine blade fuses for straightforward circuit protection and simple field replacement.
  • Four-Orientation Mounting: Versatile housing design allows installation vertically, horizontally, or inverted to suit tight console layouts and custom dash configurations.

Advanced Circuit Monitoring and Illumination

Managing critical 12V accessories such as bait pumps, washdown systems, navigation lights, or work lights requires instant visual feedback. The integrated bicoloured LEDs simplify fault-finding at the helm. If an indicator fails to illuminate in either switch position, operators immediately know the fuse has blown or the panel is not receiving primary power, significantly reducing diagnostic time in challenging conditions.

For night navigation or off-road driving, glare from overly bright dashboard switches can impair operator vision. The independent label-backlighting circuit allows you to wire the panel's labels into a central dimmer switch, ensuring clear circuit identification without blinding glare.

Installation Considerations and Risk Reduction

Installing unsealed electrical distribution components in open cockpits or external utility boxes creates a high risk of short circuits, parasitic voltage drops, and premature system failure. This panel mitigates these risks by sealing the critical switching interface at the front of the helm. Please note that the IP67 rating applies strictly to the front of the panel when correctly fitted with a watertight mounting gasket; rear wiring connections remain exposed behind the dash and must be installed in a dry cavity or protected appropriately.

Upgrade Your Helm or Console Electrical Control

Ensure reliable switching and overcurrent protection for your auxiliary 12V equipment in exposed environments. Add this weatherproof 2-circuit fuse panel to your marine or off-grid electrical setup today for clean, long-lasting circuit management.
