Blue Sea 12/24VDC 6 Position Fused Switch Panel, Slate Grey
Weatherproof Above-Deck Rated with Contura LED Switches & Backlit

DESCRIPTION
Weatherproof Marine Circuit Control and Protection for Exposed Applications
Engineered for Above-Deck Durability and Reliable 12V/24V Distribution
Managing electrical systems in exposed marine and off-grid environments requires hardware built to resist constant moisture and corrosion. The Blue Sea 6 Position Fused Switch Panel provides centralized switching and overcurrent protection specifically engineered for above-deck applications. Compatible with both 12V and 24V DC electrical systems, this slate grey unit consolidates six individual circuits into a clean, professional faceplate suitable for open cockpits, flybridges, and exposed utility vehicles.
Standard interior-grade switch panels quickly succumb to moisture ingress, leading to corroded terminals, short circuits, and intermittent device failure when installed outdoors. This Blue Sea panel mitigates those risks with a specialized weatherproof construction designed to endure the harsh realities of marine transit. It reliably withstands salt spray, driving rain, direct hose washdowns, and even momentary immersions, ensuring your vital navigation lights, bilge pumps, and deck electronics remain operational when conditions deteriorate.
Intuitive Operation with Contura Switches and Front-Access Fuses
At the core of the panel are six heavy-duty ON-OFF Contura rocker switches. Each switch features an embedded high-visibility LED that illuminates when the circuit is active, allowing operators to confirm system status at a glance during night navigation or low-light conditions. Complementing the switches are backlit label slots, making it simple to identify connected marine electronics and auxiliary accessories in the dark.
To streamline maintenance and troubleshooting on the water, each circuit is paired with a front-access, screw-cap fuse holder. If a circuit experiences an overload, operators can quickly inspect and replace the fuse directly from the helm without needing to dismantle the dashboard or reach into cramped, damp behind-panel spaces.
- Above-Deck Weather Resistance: Built to survive salt spray, heavy rain, routine hose washdowns, and momentary immersions without compromising electrical integrity.
- Dual Voltage Compatibility: Seamlessly integrates into both 12V DC and 24V DC power distribution architectures.
- Embedded Status Indicators: Water-resistant ON-OFF Contura rocker switches include integrated LEDs for immediate visual confirmation of active loads.
- Convenient Circuit Protection: Front-accessible screw-cap fuse holders allow for rapid fuse inspection and replacement without rear-panel access.
- Low-Light Readability: Dedicated backlit slots accept interchangeable labels for clear circuit identification during night operations.
- Durable Aesthetic: The slate grey weatherproof faceplate resists UV degradation and blends cleanly into modern marine helms and custom dashboards.
Versatile Applications Across Marine and Off-Road Setups
While purpose-built for marine vessels such as centre consoles, yachts, and workboats, the rugged environmental sealing of the BS-8053B makes it equally valuable for terrestrial applications exposed to the elements. It serves as a dependable control hub for:
- Open-cockpit boats, Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs), and flybridge helms
- Commercial marine vessels requiring frequent high-pressure deck washdowns
- 4WD canopy setups, camper trailers, and agricultural machinery exposed to dust and rain
- Emergency service and utility vehicles managing external work lights and beacons
Upgrade Your Helm with Proven Marine Electrical Hardware
Eliminate the guesswork and reliability issues of unsealed switches in wet environments. Integrate the Blue Sea 6 Position Fused Switch Panel into your 12V or 24V setup for dependable, weatherproof circuit control and protection.
