IP66 Weatherproof Front, LED Contura Switches & Ignition Protected

DESCRIPTION
Weatherproof DC Distribution Panel for Marine and Off-Road Applications
Engineered for Flybridge, Open-Cockpit, and Exposed Control Consoles
Managing electrical loads in exposed marine environments requires hardware built to withstand constant moisture, salt spray, and vibration. The Blue Sea Systems 8372B is a rugged 4-position DC switch panel engineered specifically for open-cockpit boats, flybridges, and exposed 4WD or camper trailer consoles. Operating seamlessly across both 12V and 24V DC systems, this panel integrates heavy-duty switching and resettable circuit protection into a single weatherproof unit.
Standard automotive or unsealed switch panels quickly corrode and fail when subjected to washdowns or driving rain, creating electrical hazards and potential system downtime. The 8372B solves this problem by utilising an IP66-rated front panel that shields internal components against powerful water jets from any direction. Combined with an included watertight mounting gasket, it forms a reliable barrier that keeps water out of your behind-dash wiring and sensitive electronics.
Integrated Switching and Resettable Circuit Protection
Rather than wiring separate fuse blocks and switch banks, this consolidated distribution panel simplifies installation and reduces potential points of failure behind the helm. Each of the four circuits features a dedicated ON-OFF Contura rocker switch paired with a push-button reset-only circuit breaker. If an overload occurs on a connected device, the breaker trips to protect the wiring and can be rapidly reset once the fault is cleared, eliminating the need to fumble with replacement fuses at sea or in the dark.
- IP66 Weatherproof Front: Built to endure heavy seas, washdowns, and powerful water jets without compromising electrical integrity.
- Ignition Protected: Safe for installation aboard petrol-powered vessels, reducing the risk of igniting surrounding flammable fumes in enclosed bilges or consoles.
- Contura Rocker Switches: Ergonomic switches feature embedded LEDs that clearly illuminate when a circuit is active for instant visual confirmation during night navigation.
- Waterproof Breaker Boots: Heavy-duty silicone boots seal the push-button circuit breakers against moisture, salt encrustation, and dust ingress.
- Watertight Mounting Gasket: Ensures a tight, reliable seal against the console or bulkhead surface to protect rear wiring connections.
- Customisable Labelling: Interchangeable label recesses allow for clear, organised identification of critical loads such as bilge pumps, navigation lights, and marine electronics.
Built for Safety in Harsh Environments
Safety is paramount in marine electrical systems, especially on vessels running outboard or inboard petrol engines. Because standard switches can create a microscopic arc when toggled, they pose a significant hazard if fuel vapours are present. The Blue Sea 8372B is fully ignition protected, meaning its components are sealed and designed so they will not ignite surrounding flammable gases. This makes it a dependable choice for ski boats, centre consoles, rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), and runabouts.
Beyond marine vessels, this panel is equally capable in extreme off-road and industrial applications. Whether you are wiring auxiliary work lights on a service body, controlling water pumps on a rural firefighting unit, or fitting out an open-air buggy, the UV-stabilised, corrosion-resistant construction ensures long-term durability under harsh Australian conditions.
Upgrade Your Electrical Control System
Eliminate the risk of water ingress and unreliable fuse holders in your exposed dash or console. Equip your vessel or off-grid vehicle with the Blue Sea 4-Position Circuit Breaker Switch Panel for dependable, weather-sealed 12V and 24V power distribution.
