Blue Sea 12/24VDC 3-Position Circuit Breaker Switch Panel, White
IP66 Front Rating - Ignition Protected - LED Contura Switches

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Marine Circuit Control for Exposed Helm and Cockpit Environments
Engineered specifically for harsh marine environments, the Blue Sea Systems 3-position water-resistant circuit breaker switch panel delivers dependable DC power distribution and circuit protection. Designed to withstand the rigours of open cockpits, flybridges, and exposed centre consoles, this panel combines heavy-duty switching with integrated overcurrent protection. Compatible with both 12V and 24V DC electrical systems, it provides boat builders and marine electricians with a streamlined, pre-wired solution that simplifies helm installations while maintaining rigorous safety standards.
Engineered for Harsh Marine Conditions
Standard automotive or unsealed switch panels quickly succumb to salt spray, high humidity, and washdowns, leading to corroded terminals and intermittent electrical failures. This Blue Sea panel addresses those risks with an IP66-rated front faceplate, offering robust protection against powerful water jets and heavy seas. A continuous watertight mounting gasket creates a secure seal against the console surface, preventing moisture ingress into the behind-panel wiring cavity. Furthermore, the integrated push-button reset-only circuit breakers are fitted with heavy-duty silicone waterproof boots, ensuring the overcurrent protection mechanisms remain shielded from salt crust and water intrusion.
Safety and Operational Clarity at the Helm
Safety is paramount in marine electrical design, particularly on vessels powered by petrol engines. Both the Contura rocker switches and the thermal circuit breakers are fully ignition protected, eliminating the risk of an internal electrical arc igniting Explosive fumes in the bilge or console area. For night navigation and low-light operation, each grey ON-OFF Contura switch features an embedded LED indicator to clearly show active circuits at a glance, paired with backlit label positions for effortless identification of electronics, lighting, or pumps.
Key Features and Benefits
- IP66 Front Panel Rating: Protects critical switching components from high-pressure washdowns, heavy rain, and relentless salt spray.
- Ignition Protected Components: Safe for installation aboard petrol-powered vessels, reducing the risk of vapour ignition in enclosed spaces.
- Integrated Circuit Protection: Features three push-button reset-only circuit breakers with waterproof silicone boots, eliminating the need for a separate fuse block.
- Visual Status Indicators: Heavy-duty Contura switches include embedded ON-indicating LEDs and backlit labels for clear visibility during night passages.
- Dual Voltage Compatibility: Ready for integration into standard 12VDC recreational boats or 24VDC commercial and larger cruising vessels.
- Clean Helm Aesthetics: Durable white faceplate with recessed corner mounting holes blends seamlessly into modern fibreglass consoles and flybridges.
Ideal Marine and Off-Grid Applications
While purpose-built for marine vessels, the rugged construction of this distribution panel makes it suitable for a wide range of exposed 12V and 24V applications:
- Open cockpit fishing boats,RIBs, and centre consoles exposed to constant spray
- Flybridge helm stations on cruisers and sportfishing yachts
- Petrol-powered ski boats, tenders, and runabouts requiring ignition-protected switchgear
- Exterior utility panels on specialised off-grid expeditions vehicles or service trucks
