Blue Sea 12/24VDC 3 Position Circuit Breaker Switch Panel, Black
Blue Sea 12/24VDC 3 Position Circuit Breaker Switch Panel, Black
IP66 Waterproof Front, LED Contura Switches & Ignition Protected

DESCRIPTION
Water-Resistant Marine DC Distribution and Switching for Exposed Helms
Engineered for Flybridge, Open Cockpit, and Harsh Off-Grid Environments
Managing electrical systems in exposed marine and off-grid environments requires hardware built to withstand constant moisture, salt spray, and vibration. The Blue Sea Systems 3-position water-resistant switch panel provides consolidated circuit protection and switching for both 12V and 24V DC electrical systems. Designed specifically for open-air installations like flybridges, centre consoles, and open cockpits, this unit combines reliable circuit protection with intuitive operation.
Unlike standard automotive or non-sealed panels that rapidly corrode or short-circuit when exposed to weather, this marine-grade distribution panel features an IP66-rated front faceplate. When installed with the included watertight mounting gasket, it shields your critical wiring against powerful water jets, heavy rain, and washdowns.
Integrated Circuit Protection and Contura Switching
Each of the three positions pairs a heavy-duty ON-OFF Contura rocker switch with an individual push-button reset-only thermal circuit breaker. The breakers are enclosed in flexible waterproof silicone boots, preventing water ingress while allowing instant manual resetting if an overload occurs. This eliminates the need to fumble with replacement fuses in rough seas or low-light conditions.
To improve operational awareness during night navigation, each Contura switch includes an embedded LED indicator that illuminates when the circuit is active. This allows skippers and operators to verify the status of navigation lights, bilge pumps, or deck accessories at a glance. The switches are also engineered to resist extreme vibration, temperature fluctuations, and salt fog, ensuring longevity in demanding Australian coastal conditions.
Key Features and Benefits
- Dual Voltage Compatibility: Pre-configured to support both 12V DC and 24V DC marine and recreational vehicle electrical architectures.
- IP66 Weatherproof Front: Protected against powerful water jets from any direction, supported by a heavy-duty watertight mounting gasket.
- Ignition Protected: Safe for installation aboard petrol-powered vessels, reducing the risk of igniting surrounding flammable vapours.
- Illuminated Contura Switches: Vibration-resistant ON-OFF rocker switches feature built-in LEDs for clear visual confirmation of active circuits.
- Booted Circuit Breakers: Push-to-reset thermal breakers feature waterproof silicone boots for tool-free recovery from electrical overloads.
- Clean Identification: Includes recessed square label slots for straightforward circuit organisation and identification.
Safety and Reliability in Petrol and Diesel Vessels
Electrical safety is paramount in enclosed bilges and fuel-adjacent compartments. This Blue Sea switch panel is fully ignition protected, meaning it will not ignite surrounding explosive fumes. This makes it a compliant, low-risk solution for petrol-powered ski boats, tenders, and outboard vessels, as well as diesel cruisers and rugged 4WD canopy setups.
By integrating switching and overcurrent protection into a single compact footprint, you reduce wiring complexity behind the dash and minimise potential failure points. With recessed four-point mounting, the panel installs cleanly into aluminium, fibreglass, or composite dashboards.
Upgrade Your Helm Control
Secure your vessel's critical electronics against water ingress and electrical faults. Add this Blue Sea 3-position waterproof switch panel to your setup for dependable, marine-grade circuit control in any weather.
