Blue Sea 10A C-Series Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 10A C-Series Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Magnetic Hydraulic Overcurrent Protection & Switch with White Toggle

DESCRIPTION
Integrated Magnetic Hydraulic Overcurrent Protection and Switching
The Blue Sea C-Series 10A Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker delivers professional-grade electrical protection and manual circuit control in a single, compact housing. Engineered specifically for demanding marine, automotive, and off-grid power systems, this unit eliminates the need to wire separate switches and fuses for individual branch circuits. By combining both functions, it streamlines switchboard layouts, reduces installation wiring complexity, and minimises potential points of failure behind the dash or control panel.
Why Magnetic Hydraulic Technology Matters
Unlike standard thermal circuit breakers that rely on heat-sensitive bimetallic strips, the C-Series utilises a precision magnetic hydraulic mechanism. Standard thermal units are often susceptible to ambient temperature fluctuations, which can cause nuisance tripping in hot engine bays or enclosed canopies, or delayed tripping in freezing climates. Because magnetic hydraulic operation is driven strictly by current flow rather than heat, this 10A breaker maintains a consistent, reliable trip profile regardless of ambient environmental temperatures.
Additionally, this breaker features a critical safety mechanism known as a trip-free design. If an electrical fault or severe overload occurs, the internal contacts will trip open and cannot be manually held closed by the toggle lever. This significantly reduces the risk of wire insulation damage, melted terminals, or electrical fires caused by overriding a fault condition.
Key Features and Benefits
- Dual-Function Design: Combines heavy-duty manual circuit switching and precise 10A overcurrent protection into one integrated device.
- Temperature-Independent Operation: Magnetic hydraulic mechanism ensures accurate tripping performance without derating in hot marine engine rooms or 4WD canopies.
- Trip-Free Safety Mechanism: Internal contacts cannot be held closed during an active overcurrent fault, protecting downstream cabling and equipment.
- Tactile White Toggle Switch: Ribbed actuator provides positive engagement and clear visual identification of circuit status on dark distribution panels.
- Vibration-Resistant Termination: Robust rear threaded terminals secure ring or fork lugs firmly, preventing loose connections in high-vibration mobile and marine environments.
- Clean Panel Integration: Recessed, integrated threaded mounting holes allow for secure front-panel installation in custom switchboards and power distribution modules.
Built for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments
When building a 12V, 24V, or AC electrical distribution system for a boat, caravan, or service vehicle, component reliability is paramount. Inferior protection devices can corrode, loosen under constant road corrugations, or fail to trip accurately when sensitive electronics are at risk. The Blue Sea C-Series is constructed with robust housing materials and heavy-duty rear threaded stud terminals designed to handle continuous mechanical stress and moisture exposure.
Typical Applications
- Marine Switchboards: Ideal for controlling and protecting navigation electronics, bilge pumps, cabin lighting, and low-draw galley appliances.
- Caravan and RV Power Systems: Simplifies 12V and 24V DC distribution panels by acting as both the master isolator switch and circuit protector for water pumps, fans, and Diesel heaters.
- 4WD and Commercial Vehicles: Provides dependable branch circuit protection inside dual-battery canopies and mobile workstation setups.
- Off-Grid Solar Cabinets: Acts as a reliable DC load breaker or AC branch protector in remote power enclosures.
Upgrade Your Electrical Distribution System
Ensure your critical wiring and sensitive appliances are safeguarded against overloads and short circuits. Add the Blue Sea C-Series 10A Toggle Circuit Breaker to your panel build for dependable, temperature-stable circuit control.
