Blue Sea 100A C-Series Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 100A C-Series Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Magnetic-Hydraulic Mechanism with Linked Common-Trip Actuators

DESCRIPTION
High-Amperage Magnetic-Hydraulic Circuit Protection and Switching
The Blue Sea C-Series 100A Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker delivers reliable overcurrent protection and manual switching in a single, heavy-duty unit. Engineered for demanding marine, RV, and off-grid electrical systems, this breaker allows you to control and safeguard high-amperage circuits without the need for separate switches and fuse blocks. By consolidating these functions, it simplifies panel layouts, reduces wiring complexity, and minimises potential failure points in critical power installations.
Why Choose a Magnetic-Hydraulic Circuit Breaker?
Unlike standard thermal breakers that rely on heat-sensitive bimetallic strips, the C-Series utilises a precision magnetic-hydraulic operating mechanism. Standard thermal units can suffer from nuisance tripping in hot engine bays, canopies, or enclosed electrical cabinets because ambient heat affects their trip threshold. A magnetic-hydraulic breaker operates via a solenoid coil and hydraulic delay fluid, meaning its 100A trip point remains stable regardless of ambient temperature fluctuations. This makes it an ideal solution for harsh Australian climates and enclosed marine environments where consistent performance is vital.
Synchronised Triple-Pole Operation
Featuring three mechanically linked white toggle actuators, this breaker ensures simultaneous switching and common-trip functionality across all three poles. If an overcurrent fault occurs on any single line, the internal mechanism trips all three poles immediately. This synchronised operation is essential for protecting multi-wire circuits, three-phase AC setups, or complex DC distribution systems where isolating all conductors simultaneously is required to prevent equipment damage and ensure technician safety during maintenance.
Key Features and Benefits
- Combined Switching and Protection: Integrates manual circuit isolation and automatic overcurrent tripping into one compact panel-mount device.
- Temperature-Stable Performance: Magnetic-hydraulic design prevents derating and nuisance tripping in high-temperature environments.
- Common-Trip Linked Toggles: Ganged white toggle handles provide simultaneous manual control and ensure all three poles disconnect together if a fault occurs on a single pole.
- Trip-Free Mechanism: Internally engineered so the circuit breaker cannot be manually held closed during an active overcurrent fault, reducing the risk of wiring fires and component failure.
- Robust Panel Mounting: Equipped with brass-threaded mounting inserts for secure, vibration-resistant installation into custom switchboards and distribution panels.
- Heavy-Duty Rear Studs: Substantial rear terminal studs accommodate large-gauge cable lugs, ensuring low-resistance connections suitable for 100A continuous loads.
Engineered for Demanding Applications
Whether you are fitting out a commercial vessel, upgrading an off-grid solar inverter bank, or building a heavy-duty mobile workspace, component reliability is paramount. Inferior circuit protection can lead to voltage drop, melted terminals, or failure to trip during a dead short. The Blue Sea C-Series mitigates these risks with heavy-duty rear terminal studs that provide sufficient clamping force for thick battery and inverter cables, preventing loose connections caused by vehicle or vessel vibration.
Upgrade Your Electrical Distribution System
Ensure your high-current circuits are protected against overloads and short circuits with industrial-grade hardware. Add the Blue Sea C-Series 100A Triple-Pole Circuit Breaker to your system build for dependable, temperature-independent circuit control.
