DESCRIPTION
Victron 6-Way MEGA Fuse Holder: Centralised High-Current Distribution for DC Systems
Engineered for Demanding 12V, 24V, and 48V Installations
The Victron 6-way MEGA fuse holder provides a professional solution for consolidating high-current circuit protection in a single, compact unit. Designed to support continuous loads up to 250 A at 70 VDC, this block is ideal for marine electrical panels, off-grid solar arrays, RV power management, and commercial vehicle upfitting. By centralising up to six MEGA fuses on a common tin-plated copper busbar, it simplifies wiring, reduces voltage drop, and enhances system reliability compared to using multiple individual fuse holders.
Unlike generic fuse blocks that may use lower-grade thermoplastics or uncoated copper, the Victron design prioritises safety and longevity. The UL 94 V-0 rated black ABS base resists ignition and limits flame propagation, while the clear polycarbonate cover (UL 94 HB) allows instant visual inspection of fuse status without compromising protection. This combination is particularly valuable in engine rooms, battery compartments, and other enclosed spaces where fire resistance is critical.
Built for Secure, Low-Resistance Connections
Each of the six output positions features a 5/16" (approx. 8 mm) galvanised steel stud terminal with matching hex nuts, engineered to accept heavy-gauge cable lugs. The stud height of 0.67" (approx. 14 mm) provides ample thread engagement for stacking multiple lugs if needed, while the recommended torque of 60 lbf·in (7 N·m) ensures a gas-tight, low-resistance connection that minimises heat buildup under load. The common busbar is fabricated from 3 x 18 mm tin-plated copper, offering excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance in humid or salt-laden environments.
Integral insulating dividers between each fuse position prevent accidental short circuits during installation or maintenance, a detail often overlooked in budget alternatives. The base includes four mounting points for secure attachment to panels or bulkheads, and the compact footprint of 181.5 x 88 x 50.9 mm (with cover) fits easily into tight electrical enclosures.

Applications Where Reliability Matters
This 6-way MEGA fuse holder is a strategic choice for any high-current DC system requiring organised, serviceable protection. Typical use cases include:
- Marine and RV electrical systems: Protect inverter, charger, and DC distribution circuits from a central point
- Off-grid solar installations: Combine battery bank, charge controller, and load circuit protection in one block
- Commercial and emergency vehicles: Manage multiple high-draw accessories such as winches, hydraulic pumps, and lighting arrays
- Industrial DC power supplies: Distribute power to multiple loads while maintaining selective coordination
By using a common busbar, the holder reduces the number of high-current cable runs and terminations, lowering both material costs and potential failure points. The clear cover allows at-a-glance confirmation of blown fuses, speeding up troubleshooting and reducing downtime.
Installation Confidence
Victron provides a detailed assembly diagram illustrating the correct order for nuts, spring washers, cable lugs, and fuses to achieve a reliable connection. Following the specified torque value is essential to prevent loosening from vibration or thermal cycling, common in mobile and marine environments. The galvanised steel hardware offers good corrosion resistance, though in extreme coastal or submerged applications, supplementary protective measures may be considered.
For installers and system integrators, this fuse holder represents a balance of thoughtful engineering and practical functionality. It addresses the real-world challenges of managing high currents safely while keeping installations neat and accessible.

WARRANTY
Victron Energy Limited Warranty Policy
Direct Customers
Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users. This support section on Victron’s website will provide further guidance on the procedure for end-users to make a claim under this limited warranty.
If the end-user is a consumer – a natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside that person's trade, business, craft or profession – the following applies. The rights and remedies granted to the consumer under this limited warranty are without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory rights. Furthermore, the consumer is entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods (such as repair, replacement, price reduction or rescission), which remedies are not affected by this limited warranty.
