Victron 150A 2P Busbar: Centralised High-Current DC Distribution with 20 Screws and Protective Cover
Professional-Grade Power Distribution for Marine, RV, and Renewable Energy Systems
The Victron 150A 2P Busbar provides a robust, centralised solution for managing high-current DC connections in demanding environments. Engineered to consolidate multiple battery and equipment cables into a single, organised point, this busbar reduces wiring complexity and improves system reliability. With a 150 A continuous current rating and 70 VDC maximum voltage, it is well suited for 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V electrical architectures commonly found in marine vessels, recreational vehicles, and off-grid solar installations.
Unlike generic busbars that rely on basic brass terminals and exposed conductors, the Victron design integrates insert-moulded stainless steel studs and a tin-plated copper busbar strip. This construction delivers superior corrosion resistance and maintains low electrical resistance over time, even in salt-laden or high-humidity conditions. The result is a more stable voltage supply to connected loads and reduced risk of hot spots that can lead to premature component failure.
Key Features
- 150 A continuous rating for high-current battery and inverter/charger connections
- 20 stainless steel terminal screws (8-32 / 4.2 mm) for secure branch circuit wiring
- Two ¼" (6.35 mm) main studs with tin-plated copper hex nuts for primary cable lugs
- Insert-moulded studs eliminate loose backing nuts, enabling higher torque (7 N·m) and better conductivity
- Clear polycarbonate cover protects against accidental shorts and debris ingress
- Flame-retardant ABS base (UL 94 V-0) with pre-drilled mounting holes for secure installation
- Raised bus design simplifies wire access and keeps cable runs tidy
Engineered for Demanding Environments
Electrical systems in boats, caravans, and remote power installations face unique challenges: vibration, temperature swings, and exposure to moisture. The Victron 150A 2P Busbar addresses these with materials selected for long-term durability. The tin-plated copper strip (2.4 x 19 mm) resists oxidation while maintaining high conductivity, and the stainless steel terminal hardware withstands repeated connection cycles without galling or seizing. The included clear polycarbonate cover snaps securely over the busbar, providing a physical barrier that helps prevent accidental contact with live terminals during maintenance or inspection.
Simplified Installation and Safer Operation
Mounting the busbar is straightforward thanks to the pre-drilled holes in the ABS base. The raised profile keeps cables off the mounting surface, reducing the chance of chafing and short circuits. By centralising connections, the busbar minimises the need for multiple inline splices or stacked ring terminals on battery posts, which can loosen over time and create high-resistance faults. This organised approach not only improves safety but also makes future system upgrades or troubleshooting significantly easier.
Versatile Applications
Whether you are tidying a cluttered battery compartment on a cruising yacht, building a reliable 12 V distribution panel for a camper trailer, or integrating a battery monitor shunt in a solar storage system, this busbar adapts to a wide range of configurations. Its 150 A capacity supports typical house battery banks and inverter/charger circuits, while the 20 screw terminals accommodate smaller branch loads such as lighting, pumps, and monitoring equipment.
For installations requiring higher current or additional terminals, Victron offers a range of busbars with different ratings and screw counts, allowing you to scale your system without compromising on quality or safety.

WARRANTY
Victron Energy Limited Warranty Policy
Direct Customers
Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users. This support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support will provide further guidance on the procedure for end-users to make a claim under this limited warranty.
If the end-user is a consumer – a natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside that person's trade, business, craft or profession – the following applies. The rights and remedies granted to the consumer under this limited warranty are without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory rights. Furthermore, the consumer is entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods (such as repair, replacement, price reduction or rescission), which remedies are not affected by this limited warranty.
Warranty
Victron Energy warrants its products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 66 months from the Victron Energy invoice date. Exceptions on this are: lead-acid batteries: 2 years from date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 30 months from the Victron Energy invoice date, Lithium batteries: 3 years from date of purchase by the original end-user, with a maximum of 42 months from the Victron Energy invoice date. In addition to this, proof of correct battery usage is required when making a battery warranty claim.
For a 10% surcharge on the current net price for products that came with a 5-year warranty, an additional 5 years of warranty can be purchased by Victron’s direct customers, bringing the total warranty to 10 years.
