Critical Installation and Voltage Requirements

When integrating the Balmar MC-620 regulator into a 48V architecture, strict adherence to wiring specifications is required to prevent equipment damage. Although the unit regulates a 48V alternator, the regulator itself is powered through a 12V connection to its field input.

Important: This unit requires a 12V connection to the field input to power the regulator; it cannot be powered from a 48V source. Do not apply 48V to the regulator. Refer to Balmar's MC-620 and 96-Series installation instructions for the 12V connection.
