CMS 2 Gang 'C' Type General Power Outlet - Black

Modular 240V AC Power Distribution for Caravans and Motorhomes

Streamlined Soft-Wired Double GPO for Mobile and Off-Grid Installations

The CMS Electracom 2 Gang General Power Outlet delivers a professional, modular approach to 240V AC power distribution in recreational vehicles, tiny homes, and commercial fit-outs. Engineered with a specialised 'C' Type clip-in chassis, this double GPO integrates seamlessly into CMS soft-wired interconnect systems. It provides two standard 10A Australian 3-pin sockets, each paired with a dedicated rocker switch for localised power control.

Designed to simplify complex electrical layouts, this unit allows caravan and motorhome builders to rough-in AC power points during the construction phase using pre-assembled leads. This modular methodology significantly reduces installation time compared to traditional hard-wired outlets, while awaiting final inspection, testing, and commissioning by a licensed electrician.

Why Choose a Soft-Wired Modular System?

Traditional hard-wired 240V outlets in mobile environments can be time-consuming to install and may suffer from terminal fatigue due to constant road vibration. The CMS Electracom soft-wired ecosystem addresses these challenges through precision-engineered, plug-and-play interconnects that lock securely into place. By utilising a standardised 'C' Type configuration, builders and installers can achieve repeatable, compliant layouts with minimal wiring errors.

Beyond installation efficiency, the glossy black modular chassis provides a modern aesthetic that complements contemporary RV interiors, dark cabinetry, and bespoke control panels. Unlike standard residential outlets that often look out of place in compact recreational vehicles, this unit is purpose-built for seamless integration into specialised wall cavities and ducting systems.

Key Features and Benefits

• Dual 10A 3-Pin Sockets: Accommodates two standard Australian AC appliances simultaneously, ideal for high-use areas like caravan galleys, bedside nooks, and workstation setups.
• Individual Rocker Switches: Offers independent control over each socket, allowing users to isolate appliances and manage standby power draw effectively on off-grid inverter systems.
• 'C' Type Clip-In Chassis: Engineered for rapid, secure mounting into compatible CMS wall plates, mounting blocks, and service ducts without complex bracketry.
• Soft-Wired Compatibility: Integrates directly with CMS pre-terminated interconnect cables, reducing on-site labour and mitigating the risk of loose wiring connections in high-vibration mobile applications.
• Sleek Black Finish: Delivers a clean, architectural look that blends effortlessly into modern campervans, motorhomes, and custom off-grid builds.

Engineered for Compliance and Longevity

When constructing a motorhome, camper trailer, or tiny home, electrical safety and compliance are paramount. Using purpose-designed modular components reduces the likelihood of faulty terminations and simplifies the certification process. Because the soft-wired system allows the physical outlet and cabling to be positioned during the panelling stage, it prevents hold-ups on the production line while ensuring the system is ready for a qualified electrician to complete the final testing and verification.

Ideal Applications

• Caravan and motorhome 240V AC mains and inverter distribution layouts
• Campervan conversions requiring compact, modular power solutions
• Tiny homes, portable buildings, and modular off-grid cabins
• Commercial furniture, workstation ducting, and bespoke cabinetry
