Blue Sea 250A Black 5/16 Terminal Feed Through Connector
250A Rated - 5/16" (Approx. M8) Studs - IP66 Waterproof Design

DESCRIPTION
Secure High-Current Cable Management for Marine and Vehicle Systems
Safely routing heavy-gauge power cables through bulkheads, decks, or firewalls presents a significant challenge in marine and automotive electrical installations. The Blue Sea 250A Feed Through Connector provides a professional, robust solution designed to eliminate the risks associated with passing live cables through structural panels. By creating a dedicated connection point on either side of a barrier, this terminal connector ensures integrity and safety for your electrical system.
Unlike simple rubber grommets which can wear down over time, this feed-through terminal offers a solid mounting face that eliminates cable chafing—a primary cause of short circuits and electrical fires in high-vibration environments like boats and 4WDs. It serves as a secure junction point, maintaining the watertight integrity of your hull or firewall while delivering high-current power where it is needed.
Heavy-Duty Current Handling and Efficiency
Engineered for high-demand applications, this connector is rated for a continuous current of 250A, making it suitable for main battery feeds, winch cabling, and inverter supply lines. The conductive path utilizes tin-plated copper alloy studs, which offer superior electrical conductivity and significant resistance to corrosion—essential for maintaining voltage stability in saltwater environments.
The unit supports systems up to 48V DC, ensuring compatibility with standard 12V and 24V vehicle architectures as well as higher voltage 48V banks often found in modern off-grid setups. *Note typical de-rating factors apply based on ambient temperature and cable sizing.
IP66 Waterproof Protection
When installed correctly, the Blue Sea Feed Through Connector achieves an IP66 rating, meaning it can withstand powerful water jets and heavy seas without compromising the connection. The mounting face is designed to be gasketed or bedded with sealant, providing a watertight seal that prevents moisture ingress into dry zones, cabins, or battery compartments. This makes it an excellent choice for transom installations or passing cables through wet decks.
Installation and Compatibility
The device features 5/16"-18 (Approx. M8) stud terminals, which are compatible with a wide range of standard heavy-duty cable lugs. The reinforced thermoplastic base is self-extinguishing and flame retardant, adding an extra layer of safety to your installation. Its compact black housing blends neatly into engine bays and technical spaces, providing a clean, professional finish to any wiring project.
- Prevents Chafe: Eliminates the risk of cable insulation damage when passing through bulkheads.
- High Conductivity: Tin-plated copper alloy studs ensure efficient power transfer and corrosion resistance.
- Watertight Design: Rated IP66 for protection against heavy seas and washdowns when properly bedded.
- Ignition Protected: Safe for installation aboard gasoline-powered boats.
- Secure Termination: Provides excellent strain relief for large, heavy battery cables.
Upgrade Your Electrical Safety
Don't compromise on safety when routing high-power cables. Secure your Blue Sea 250A Feed Through Connector today to ensure a watertight, chafe-free, and reliable electrical installation for your vessel or vehicle.
