Blue Sea ST-Blade Water-Resistant Fuse Block

DESCRIPTION

Compact 4-Circuit Protection for Harsh Marine and Automotive Environments

Managing electrical circuits in exposed environments requires hardware that can withstand moisture, vibration, and corrosion. The Blue Sea ST-Blade Water-Resistant Fuse Block delivers reliable 4-circuit protection specifically engineered for marine vessels, 4WDs, caravans, and outdoor utility vehicles. Unlike standard open-chassis fuse holders that leave delicate electrical connections exposed to the elements, this enclosed block shields your wiring against water ingress, salt spray, and dust, reducing the risk of short circuits and premature voltage drop.

Engineered for Durability and Maximum Conductivity

At the core of the BS-5056B is a precision-engineered bus and fuse clip system constructed from tin-plated copper. While bare copper oxidises rapidly in humid or coastal environments, tin plating provides exceptional resistance to corrosion while maintaining high electrical conductivity. This ensures stable power delivery to your critical onboard electronics, lighting, and accessories without the heat build-up associated with inferior alloys.

To maintain its protective seal in custom setups, the unit comes supplied with three specialised wire plugs. If your installation requires fewer than four active circuits, these plugs insert directly into the unused wire entry ports, preserving the water-resistant integrity of the enclosure until you are ready to expand your system.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Versatile Circuit Protection: Accepts standard ATO and ATC fast-acting blade fuses as well as compatible ATO/ATC-style low-profile circuit breakers.
  • Marine-Grade Construction: Tin-plated copper busses and fuse clips offer superior conductivity and long-term corrosion resistance.
  • Customisable Water Resistance: Includes three cavity plugs to seal unused ports when fewer than four loads are connected.
  • Straightforward Termination: Designed for standard ring or spade terminals, allowing secure connections across a wide range of wire gauges using everyday crimping tools.
  • Modular Nesting Design: Interlocks neatly with other ST-Blade Water-Resistant Fuse Blocks and Water-Resistant 100A Bus Bars to create a consolidated, space-saving power distribution hub.
  • Integrated Organisation: Features four write-on circuit labels for clear identification, plus dedicated storage inside the protective cover for a spare fuse and mounting fastener.

Streamlined Installation and Maintenance

Whether you are wiring a boat helm, fitting out a 4WD canopy, or installing auxiliary power in a camper trailer, space is often limited. The modular housing is designed to nest seamlessly alongside compatible Blue Sea Systems bus bars and fuse blocks. This interlocking capability reduces complex interconnecting wiring and keeps your electrical board tidy and accessible.

Troubleshooting in the field is also simplified. The protective cover features built-in storage for a spare fuse and fastener, ensuring you have backup components immediately on hand when needed. Combined with the four included write-on labels, identifying and servicing a blown circuit in low-light conditions is fast and straightforward.

Please note: Fuses and circuit breakers are sold separately, allowing you to select the exact amperage ratings required for your specific loads.

Upgrade Your Electrical Distribution

Protect your auxiliary accessories from moisture and corrosion with a purpose-built distribution block. Add the Blue Sea ST-Blade Water-Resistant Fuse Block to your setup today for a clean, modular, and dependable wiring installation.
