Blue Sea SPST OFF-ON Toggle Switch

DESCRIPTION

Reliable Single Pole Single Throw Panel Switch for Marine and Off-Grid Control

In demanding marine, automotive, and off-grid electrical environments, isolating your switching action from your primary circuit protection is often a critical design requirement. This Single Pole, Single Throw (SPST) toggle switch offers dedicated OFF-ON control for circuits that already have separate fuse or breaker protection. Whether you are outfitting a commercial vessel's helm, upgrading a 4WD dual-battery canopy, or assembling a custom AC/DC distribution panel in a caravan, this component delivers dependable mechanical switching without the risk of premature failure common in lower-grade alternatives.

Engineered for Harsh Marine and Mobile Environments

Moisture, salt spray, and constant vibration rapidly degrade standard electrical switches, leading to high resistance, heat build-up, and eventual circuit failure. To mitigate these risks, this panel switch is constructed from non-corrosive phenolic materials paired with nickel-plated brass hardware. This robust material combination resists oxidation and mechanical wear, ensuring consistent electrical continuity over its operational lifespan.

The unit features a high-visibility white toggle actuator set against a slim black mounting bezel, providing clear visual indication of the switch state even in low-light cabin or dash environments. On the rear, male quick-connect spade terminals allow for fast, secure wiring termination when paired with quality insulated crimps.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Corrosion-Resistant Build: Nickel-plated brass and phenolic construction prevents rust and degradation in high-moisture marine and coastal applications.
  • Seamless Panel Integration: Designed to mount directly into standard A-Series toggle circuit breaker apertures for a uniform, professional dashboard or control panel layout.
  • Versatile Mounting Hardware: Supplied complete with Phillips head mounting screws and a dedicated adapter to suit standard 5/8" (approx. 15.88mm) circuit breaker mounting holes.
  • Broad Voltage Compatibility: Rated for up to 15A at 32V DC (making it suitable for both 12V and 24V DC systems), as well as 15A at 125V AC and 10A at 250V AC for auxiliary mains switching.
  • Clear Visual Indication: Contrasting white lever on a black mounting plate ensures effortless operation and status recognition.

Versatile Applications Across AC and DC Systems

Because this switch is engineered to fit standard A-Series breaker cutouts, it allows system designers and DIY installers to maintain a clean, matching aesthetic across custom switchboards. It is widely used for controlling auxiliary equipment where a standard circuit breaker toggle is either unnecessary or unsuitable for the specific switching logic required.

Typical applications include:

  • Marine Vessels: Ideal for manual bilge pump overrides, navigation lights, windscreen wipers, horn circuits, and blower fans.
  • Generator and Engine Control: Suitable for auxiliary starter circuits, fuel pump isolation, and engine control panels.
  • Caravans and Off-Grid Setups: Reliable switching for 12V and 24V water pumps, internal lighting zones, and inverter remote control lines.

Upgrade Your Electrical Control Panel

Ensure your auxiliary circuits operate reliably when you need them most. Add this heavy-duty SPST OFF-ON panel toggle switch to your system configuration today for a clean, corrosion-resistant installation.
