Black SPDT On-Off-On rocker switch with I-O-II markings for 360 panels

Blue Sea SPDT On-Off-On Rocker Switch for 360 Panel Gauge, DC Push Button + Switch, and DC Battery Management Modules

DESCRIPTION

Precision SPDT On-Off-On Circuit Control for Blue Sea 360 Panel Systems

Managing multiple electrical circuits in demanding marine and off-grid environments requires hardware built to exacting standards. The Blue Sea Systems BS-7482B Rocker Switch provides dependable Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) control, specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly into the modular Blue Sea 360 Panel System. Featuring an intuitive On-Off-On configuration, this component allows operators to switch between two independent circuits from a single common source, with a positive centre-off position to safely isolate power when not in use.

Engineered for Seamless 360 Panel Integration

When building or upgrading a custom electrical distribution board, component compatibility and fitment are critical. Unlike standard aftermarket switches that often suffer from loose tolerances or mismatched aesthetics, this genuine component is designed for a precise snap-in fit within designated 360 Panel modules. Its standard rectangular bezel ensures quick, secure installation without the need for complex panel modifications.

This specific SPDT rocker switch is tailored for direct integration into the following Blue Sea 360 Panel modules:

  • 360 Panel Gauge Modules (ideal for toggling between dual tank senders or battery banks on a single display)
  • 360 Panel DC Push Button + Switch Modules
  • 360 Panel DC Battery Management Modules

Carling Technologies Manufacturing for Marine Durability

Manufactured by Carling Technologies, a recognised leader in heavy-duty electrical switching, the BS-7482B is built to withstand the rigours of mobile and marine applications. Inferior, unbranded switches are prone to contact arcing, premature mechanical wear, and failure under vibration. By utilising proven Carling Technologies architecture, this rocker switch mitigates the risk of intermittent voltage drop and mechanical failure, ensuring consistent tactile feedback and electrical continuity over thousands of cycles.

Intuitive Operation and Clear Markings

The black rocker actuator features high-contrast, hard-wearing functional markings (I - O - II) that provide immediate visual confirmation of the circuit status. This clear delineation reduces the risk of accidental activation in low-light conditions aboard a vessel or inside a caravan electrical cabinet.

  • SPDT On-Off-On Configuration: Enables reliable switching between two separate loads or monitoring points from a single input.
  • Carling Technologies Quality: Delivers robust mechanical longevity and superior electrical contact performance in high-vibration environments.
  • Snap-In Bezel Design: Facilitates rapid, tool-free mounting into compatible 360 Panel cutouts for a clean, factory-grade finish.
  • Clear I-O-II Actuator Markings: Provides unambiguous status indication for Position I (On), Position O (Centre-Off), and Position II (On).
  • Modular System Compatibility: Specifically validated for Blue Sea Gauge, DC Push Button + Switch, and DC Battery Management 360 modules.

Versatile Applications in Marine and Off-Grid Electrical Systems

The ability to alternate between two circuits with a dedicated off state makes the SPDT On-Off-On configuration highly versatile for custom electrical layouts. In marine vessels, 4WDs, caravans, and commercial vehicles, it is commonly deployed for:

  • Switching a single analogue or digital gauge between two separate fuel, water, or holding tank senders.
  • Monitoring voltage levels across start and house battery banks using a single voltmeter module.
  • Controlling dual-speed appliances, such as windscreen wipers or ventilation fans.
  • Managing navigation and anchor light configurations from a central helm or control station.
  • Operating manual/auto bilge pump overrides or dual-zone lighting circuits.
