Single-pole single-throw toggle switch with white actuator and black panel mount adapter

Blue Sea Single-Pole Single-Throw OFF-(ON) Toggle Switch

DESCRIPTION

Reliable Momentary Panel Switching for Marine and Automotive Applications

The Blue Sea Systems SPST OFF-(ON) Toggle Switch provides dependable, tactile momentary control for essential onboard systems. Engineered specifically for demanding marine, RV, and off-grid electrical environments, this single-pole, single-throw switch is designed to handle intermittent circuits with precision. Because the actuator springs back to the OFF position immediately upon release, it prevents accidental continuous engagement, protecting critical starter motors, pumps, and warning devices from premature wear or burnout.

Seamless Integration with A-Series Panel Apertures

Achieving a uniform, factory-grade aesthetic on custom switch panels and dashboards can often be challenging when mixing circuit breakers and standard switches. This unit solves that integration issue by comes supplied with a specialised black mounting adapter. It allows the toggle switch to mount directly into standard Blue Sea A-Series toggle circuit breaker apertures using a 5/8-inch (approx. 16mm) mounting hole. This ensures your momentary controls align cleanly alongside your primary circuit protection without requiring custom fabrication or mismatched panel cutouts.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Momentary OFF-(ON) Action: Spring-return white toggle actuator ensures circuits are only energised while actively held, reducing the risk of drained batteries or overheated solenoids.
  • Marine-Grade Durability: Manufactured from non-corrosive nickel-plated brass and robust phenolic materials to withstand high-moisture, salt-air, and high-vibration environments.
  • A-Series Panel Compatibility: Includes a dedicated panel mount adapter and Phillips head mounting screws to fit standard 5/8-inch (approx. 16mm) circuit breaker cutouts.
  • Fast Electrical Termination: Equipped with rear male quick-connect spade terminals for straightforward, secure wiring during installation or maintenance.

Built to Outlast Standard Hardware in Harsh Conditions

In marine and mobile installations, inferior switches often suffer from internal contact oxidation, seizing, or housing degradation due to salt spray and humidity. By utilising a non-corrosive phenolic body paired with nickel-plated brass hardware, this toggle switch resists environmental degradation. It maintains low contact resistance and smooth mechanical actuation over its service life, minimising voltage drop and reducing the risk of switch failure when you need to engage critical equipment.

Ideal Applications

This momentary toggle switch is highly versatile and suited to a wide range of low-voltage control circuits and heavy-duty relay triggers, including:

  • Generator Starters: Safely crank auxiliary generators without the risk of leaving the starter motor engaged.
  • Bilge Pump Overrides: Manually test or pulse bilge pumps to clear residual water from the hull.
  • Signalling and Visibility: Operate marine horns, deck alert sirens, or intermittent windscreen wiper washers.
  • Engine Controls: Actuate glow plugs, engine stop solenoids, or starter relays on marine vessels, trucks, and industrial machinery.

Upgrade Your Control Panel

Ensure clean panel integration and dependable momentary switching for your vessel or vehicle. Add the Blue Sea SPST OFF-(ON) Toggle Switch to your electrical setup today for professional-grade control you can rely on.
