DESCRIPTION
Blue Sea Systems SafetyHub 150: The Ultimate Marine Circuit Protection Solution
Consolidating your vessel's circuit protection has never been safer or more efficient. The Blue Sea SafetyHub 150 Fuse Block is a high-performance, ignition-protected fuse block designed to simplify wiring in marine and vehicle environments. By combining high-amperage and low-amperage circuit protection into a single, robust unit, it eliminates the messy "spaghetti wiring" often found near battery banks and engine rooms.
Engineered for harsh conditions, this unit is the ideal choice for boat owners and installers looking to upgrade their electrical distribution system. Whether you are refitting a yacht or outfitting a camper trailer, the SafetyHub 150 ensures your critical electronics and heavy loads are fused correctly and safely.
Ignition Protected Safety for Petrol Vessels
One of the standout features of the SafetyHub 150 is its ignition protection rating (SAE J1171 / ISO 8846). Unlike standard fuse blocks, this unit is safe for installation in engine compartments of petrol-powered boats. The sealed design prevents internal sparks from igniting fuel vapours, a critical safety requirement for marine regulations. This allows you to mount the fuse block directly in the engine room or battery compartment, shortening cable runs and reducing voltage drop without compromising safety.
Versatile Hybrid Fuse Compatibility
The SafetyHub 150 is unique in its ability to handle both high-load and low-load circuits simultaneously. It consolidates ten circuits in total:
- 4x High-Amperage Circuits: Accepts AMI® or MIDI® fuses (sold separately) for heavy loads such as windlasses, inverters, and DC-DC chargers. Capable of handling up to 200A per circuit.
- 6x Low-Amperage Circuits: Accepts standard ATO® or ATC® fuses for essential electronics, bilge pumps, lighting, and 12V accessories. Handles up to 30A per circuit.
This hybrid capability means you no longer need separate fuse holders for your inverter and your cabin lights—everything is centralised in one easy-to-access location.
Integrated Negative Bus Bar
A common headache in 12V and 24V wiring is managing ground connections. The SafetyHub 150 features an integrated negative bus with M8 stud terminals and screw terminals. This allows you to return negative wires directly to the fuse block, rather than running them back to a distant battery post or a separate bus bar. The result is a cleaner, more professional installation with fewer potential failure points and easier troubleshooting.
Built for the Marine Environment
Durability is paramount at sea. The unit features a clear, gasketed cover that seals the fuses against moisture and fumes, meeting IP66 ingress protection ratings. The cover also provides convenient storage for two spare ATO/ATC fuses and two spare MIDI/AMI fuses, ensuring you are never left without a replacement while out on the water. The M8 stainless steel studs and flange nuts ensure secure, corrosion-resistant connections for your main battery cables.
