Blue Sea Panel 360 RCD DIN Mount Blank
Blue Sea Panel 360 RCD DIN Mount Blank
Includes Rear DIN Rail Bracket & AC Status LEDs (Breaker Not Included)

DESCRIPTION
Modular AC Distribution Component for the Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel Range
The Blue Sea Panel 360 RCD DIN Mount Blank is a specialized enclosure module engineered for custom marine, RV, and off-grid electrical distribution systems. As part of the highly adaptable 360 Panel System, this component provides a dedicated, professional-grade housing for installing a standard DIN rail Residual Current Device (RCD), Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB), or double-pole AC main circuit breaker into your power setup.
Designed to simplify complex electrical installations, this blank module comes supplied with a pre-configured DIN rail mounting bracket. This allows system builders and marine electricians to source and integrate the exact DIN-mount circuit protection required for specific regional standards or load requirements, while maintaining the cohesive, factory-finished aesthetic of the Blue Sea Systems 360 series.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Integrated DIN Rail Mounting Bracket: Supplied with the necessary rear bracket hardware to securely mount standard DIN rail RCDs or circuit breakers without requiring custom fabrication.
- 360 Panel System Compatibility: Modular footprint seamlessly interlocks with other Blue Sea 360 series panels, bezels, and frames for scalable AC and DC distribution boards.
- Visual Status and Safety Indicators: Features integrated indicator positions for AC Main power connectivity and Reverse Polarity warnings to enhance onboard electrical safety.
- Durable Textured Finish: Constructed from rugged, marine-grade materials with a textured black finish that resists corrosion, UV degradation, and wear in harsh coastal environments.
- Customisable Protection: Allows installers to fit their preferred brand and rating of DIN rail protection (note: the circuit breaker or RCD is not included and must be sourced separately).
Enhanced Safety and Risk Reduction in Mobile Environments
Managing AC shore power or high-output inverter systems in marine vessels, caravans, and motorhomes requires strict adherence to electrical safety standards. Improvised mounting enclosures often leave delicate terminals exposed to vibration and moisture, increasing the risk of loose connections or accidental contact. The Blue Sea Panel 360 DIN Mount Blank mitigates these risks by providing a rigid, purpose-built cutout and secure rear mounting rail that keeps heavy-duty AC protection devices firmly anchored during rough seas or corrugated off-road travel.
Additionally, the inclusion of dedicated indicator light positions for AC Main status and Reverse Polarity detection adds a vital layer of operational awareness. Reverse polarity in AC shore power connections presents a severe shock hazard and can damage sensitive onboard appliances. Having clear, front-facing visual indicators directly adjacent to your main RCD cutout allows operators to verify safe power states before engaging loads.
Important Installation Exclusions
Please note that this product is a mounting blank and bracket assembly only. The DIN rail circuit breaker or RCD is not included with the BS-1173B module and must be purchased separately to match the specific amperage, voltage, and residual current trip ratings required by your vessel or vehicle's electrical architecture.
Ideal Applications
- Marine AC Shore Power Boards: Integrating compliant DIN-mount RCD protection into yacht, launch, and commercial vessel switchboards.
- RV and Caravan Electrical Upgrades: Creating a compact, modular 240V or 120V AC distribution hub for off-grid campers and mobile workspaces.
- Custom Inverter-Charger Setups: Housing output protection breakers in a clean, recessed panel alongside DC battery monitoring modules.
