Blue Sea MRBF 3 Circuit Independent Fuse Block
Blue Sea MRBF 3 Circuit Independent Fuse Block
Blue Sea Systems 5194 | Max 240A Per Circuit & 58V DC | Fuses Excluded

DESCRIPTION
Consolidated High-Amperage Circuit Protection for Multi-Bank Systems
Managing multiple high-current DC circuits in confined spaces requires a reliable, space-saving distribution solution. The Blue Sea Systems 5194 MRBF 3-Circuit Independent Fuse Block provides consolidated overcurrent protection for three separate power circuits within a single, compact footprint. Specifically engineered to accept Marine Rated Battery Fuses (MRBF), this block eliminates the need to install three individual inline fuse holders, significantly reducing installation time and wiring clutter in complex electrical bays.
Unlike common-source fuse blocks that share a single positive feed, this unit features three completely isolated circuits. Each circuit has its own dedicated input and output stud, making it the ideal choice for protecting the individual outputs of a 3-bank battery charger, managing multiple獨立 battery banks (such as starter, house, and thruster batteries), or isolating heavy-duty DC loads across 12V, 24V, and 48V systems (up to a maximum of 58V DC).
Engineered for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments
When working with high-amperage systems capable of delivering up to 240A per circuit, component quality is critical to preventing voltage drop, thermal buildup, and accidental short circuits. Standard, unbranded distribution blocks often use inferior metals that corrode or loosen under vibration. The Blue Sea Systems 5194 is built to rigorous marine standards, utilizing M8 (5/16"-18) stainless steel studs and one-piece stainless flange nuts to ensure secure, corrosion-resistant connections that maintain proper torque in high-vibration 4WD, caravan, and marine applications.
Safety is further enhanced by high-walled moulded insulating barriers that physically separate each circuit, preventing accidental bridging of terminals during installation or maintenance. When paired with MRBF fuses, the system is fully ignition protected, making it safe for installation aboard petrol-powered vessels or near battery enclosures.
Key Features and Benefits
- Three Independent Circuits: Provides isolated protection for three separate power sources or loads within one compact surface-mount module.
- High-Current Capacity: Supports MRBF fuses up to 240A per circuit at a maximum voltage of 58V DC, suitable for 12V, 24V, and 48V battery banks.
- ABYC/USCG Compliant Insulation: Includes a clip-on transparent insulating cover that prevents accidental contact while allowing easy visual inspection of fuse status.
- Versatile Cable Routing: Clever housing design allows all input and output cables to enter from a single side or opposing sides to suit tight installation layouts.
- Marine-Grade Hardware: Equipped with M8 (5/16"-18) stainless steel studs and one-piece flange nuts for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance.
- Integrated Labelling: Features dedicated recesses that accept Blue Sea Systems Square Format labels for clear, professional circuit identification.
Streamlined Installation and System Integration
Designed for clean and logical wire management, the fuse block's housing includes breakout tabs that allow heavy-gauge cables to exit from a single side—a major advantage when mounting the block near a bulkhead, floor, or battery box edge. The unit mounts securely via pre-drilled holes suitable for M5 (Approx. #10) fasteners. For optimal performance and safety, always torque the terminal nuts to the recommended specification to prevent high-resistance connections.
Please note: MRBF fuses are sold separately, allowing you to select the exact amperage ratings required for each individual circuit in your system.
