Blue Sea MAXI Fuse Block for 30–80A Fuses with Snap-On Terminal Cover
Blue Sea MAXI Fuse Block for 30–80A Fuses with Snap-On Terminal Cover
Ignition Protected with Low-Resistance Screw Terminals (ABYC/USCG)

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Medium-Current Circuit Protection for Marine, 4WD, and Off-Grid Systems
Managing medium-duty electrical loads requires a fuse holder that eliminates loose connections and heat build-up. The Blue Sea MAXI Fuse Block is engineered specifically to house 30A to 80A MAXI blade fuses, providing a secure and compliant circuit protection solution for demanding 12V and 24V DC electrical systems. Whether you are wiring a dual battery system in a 4WD, upgrading a caravan power distribution board, or fitting out a marine vessel, this fuse block ensures safe and dependable operation.
Engineered for Low-Resistance Connections
Standard friction-fit blade fuse holders can suffer from high electrical resistance, vibration-induced loosening, and subsequent thermal failure when subjected to continuous loads up to 80A. The Blue Sea MAXI Fuse Block addresses this risk directly with a mechanical compression design. Internal terminal screws actively compress the fuse blades within the block, establishing a solid, low-resistance electrical contact. This design minimises voltage drop and heat generation, making it suitable for rough off-road tracks and high-vibration marine environments.
Safety, Compliance, and Flexible Installation
Safety is critical when installing electrical components near batteries or fuel sources. This fuse block is ignition protected, making it safe for installation aboard petrol-powered boats and within enclosed battery compartments. The included clear snap-on terminal cover fully insulates all conductive parts to prevent accidental short circuits from stray tools or shifting cargo, satisfying stringent ABYC and USCG requirements for covered insulation.
To streamline your wiring layout, the insulating cover features breakouts on three sides, allowing heavy-gauge cables to exit cleanly from either the sides or the bottom. For clean system documentation, the cover also incorporates a dedicated recessed area that accepts large-format labels for immediate circuit identification.
- Compatiblity: Suits standard MAXI blade fuses rated from 30A to 80A (fuses sold separately)
- Compression Terminals: Screws clamp directly onto fuse blades for ultra-low resistance and vibration security
- Insulated Protection: Clear snap-on cover prevents accidental shorts and meets ABYC and USCG insulation standards
- Ignition Protected: Safe for installation in marine engine rooms and fuel-vapour zones
- Flexible Cable Routing: Removable cover breakouts allow wire entry and exit from the sides or bottom
- Easy Identification: Integrated recess accepts large-format circuit labels
- Secure Mounting: Recessed mounting holes allow for straightforward surface installation
Ideal Applications
Positioned between standard ATC/ATO blade fuses (up to 30A) and heavy-duty ANL or MEGA fuses (100A+), the 30A to 80A range is vital for sub-circuits and medium-draw appliances. This MAXI fuse holder is well suited for protecting:
- DC to DC battery chargers and solar charge controllers
- Main feed cables to secondary 12V fuse blocks or switch panels
- High-output air compressors, water pumps, and marine bilge blowers
- Caravan jacking systems, slide-outs, and medium-duty winches
Please note: MAXI fuses are sold separately, allowing you to select the exact amperage rating required for your specific cable gauge and appliance load.
Upgrade Your Circuit Protection
Ensure your medium-amperage DC circuits are protected against overloads and vibration failure. Add the Blue Sea MAXI Fuse Block to your electrical setup today for a clean, compliant, and low-resistance installation.
