Blue Sea M2 OLED DC Multimeter with State-of-Charge Monitoring
Blue Sea M2 OLED DC Multimeter with State-of-Charge Monitoring
Monitors 3 Voltages & 1 Current - Programmable Shunt & Relay Output

DESCRIPTION
Comprehensive DC System Telemetry and Battery Management
Managing off-grid, marine, and mobile electrical systems requires more than just a basic voltage readout. The Blue Sea M2 OLED DC Multimeter provides a centralised, high-precision monitoring solution designed to give system operators complete visibility over their DC power infrastructure. By tracking the precise State-of-Charge (SoC) for a primary battery bank while simultaneously monitoring up to three independent DC voltages and one current channel, this unit eliminates the need for multiple discrete gauges on your dashboard or switchboard.
Relying solely on raw voltage to estimate remaining battery capacity is often inaccurate, particularly when lithium or deep-cycle AGM batteries are under load or actively charging. By integrating current measurement with voltage data, this digital battery monitor calculates an accurate State-of-Charge percentage, complete with an intuitive graphical bar. This capability significantly reduces the risk of unexpected power loss, deep discharge damage, and premature battery failure during critical off-grid or marine operations.
High-Contrast Visibility and Intuitive Interface
Engineered for demanding environments such as marine helms, 4WD canopies, and caravan control panels, the M2 series utilises an advanced OLED display. Unlike standard LCD screens that can wash out in direct sunlight or become difficult to read at wide angles, the high-contrast screen ensures crisp, clear legibility in all lighting conditions, from bright coastal midday sun to night-time navigation.
Navigating through your system telemetry is straightforward via four tactile physical control buttons, allowing reliable menu scrolling and system configuration even in rough seas or vibrating vehicle cabins. An integrated visual alarm LED provides immediate status alerts, ensuring you are promptly notified if voltage or capacity drops below safe operational thresholds.
- Multi-Channel Monitoring: Simultaneously tracks up to three DC battery bank voltages (such as house, starter, and auxiliary banks) alongside one current channel and one comprehensive State-of-Charge readout.
- High-Contrast OLED Screen: Delivers crisp, wide-angle visibility in both pitch-black environments and bright ambient light.
- Programmable Shunt Ratios: Offers flexible configuration to seamlessly integrate with various current shunt sizes and existing electrical layouts.
- External Relay Activation: Features a dedicated control output to trigger external relays, allowing automated load shedding, generator starting, or external alarm activation based on battery parameters.
- Integrated Visual Alarm: Built-in LED indicator alerts operators immediately to critical battery status events.
- Tactile Push-Button Control: Four physical buttons ensure dependable operation and straightforward setup without relying on finicky touchscreens.
Flexible Integration and Automated Control
Every electrical architecture is unique, which is why the Blue Sea 1830B is built with adaptability in mind. Featuring programmable shunt ratios, installers can configure the meter to match specific system requirements or retrofit it to compatible existing shunts without replacing heavy cabling. This makes it an ideal upgrade for custom marine switchboards, expedition vehicles, and standalone solar setups.
Beyond passive monitoring, this unit actively protects your electrical investment through its external relay activation output. Installers can configure this output to automatically engage or disengage external relays based on specific parameters. Whether you need to disconnect non-essential loads to prevent over-discharge, trigger a high-decibel external buzzer, or automatically start a backup generator when battery capacity runs low, this multimeter acts as an intelligent hub for automated DC power management.
Upgrade Your Electrical System Visibility
Equip your vessel, caravan, or off-grid power system with the Blue Sea M2 OLED DC Multimeter for dependable, real-time battery insights and automated system protection.
