DESCRIPTION
Compact High-Amperage Battery Isolation for Marine and Vehicle Systems
The Blue Sea Systems m-Series Battery Switch provides a robust switching solution in a compact footprint, specifically engineered for space-constrained installations in boats, caravans, and 4WDs. While small in size, this switch delivers a substantial 300A continuous rating, making it capable of handling the heavy electrical loads found in modern onboard systems.
Designed for versatility, it serves as a reliable main disconnect for 12V, 24V, and 48V DC systems. Its compact form factor allows it to be installed close to battery banks or on crowded distribution panels where traditional heavy-duty switches simply will not fit. By isolating the battery, you prevent parasitic drain during storage and ensure a safe, mechanical disconnection during maintenance.
Ignition Protected and Marine Ready
Safety is paramount in marine environments, particularly aboard vessels with gasoline engines. This switch features ignition protection, making it safe for installation in engine rooms or fuel lockers where fumes may be present. The design prevents internal sparking from igniting surrounding gases, compliant with stringent marine safety standards.
Constructed with tinned copper studs, the unit offers maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance—critical for withstanding the harsh saline atmosphere of Australian coastal waters. The 3/8"-16 (Approx. M10) stud terminals are sized to accept heavy-duty ring terminals, accommodating cables up to 4/0 AWG (Approx. 120mm²) to meet current ratings without overheating.
Flexible Mounting and Installation
One of the standout features of the m-Series is its versatile case design, which supports three mounting options: surface, rear panel, or front panel mounting. This flexibility simplifies integration into custom control panels or existing battery boxes without requiring extensive modifications.
The included isolating cover with snap-on sections protects the rear contacts, preventing accidental short circuits from loose tools or debris. This attention to detail ensures your electrical system remains safe and compliant with installation regulations.

- Compact Design: "Mini" footprint fits where larger switches cannot
- Stud Size: 3/8"-16 (Approx. M10) tinned copper for corrosion resistance
- Ignition Protected: Safe for use in petrol engine compartments
- Switch Type: Single Circuit ON-OFF configuration
Reliable Power Management
Upgrading to a high-quality battery switch reduces the risk of electrical failure and provides peace of mind when storing your vehicle or vessel. Unlike generic switches that may suffer from voltage drop or contact heating under load, the Blue Sea Systems m-Series maintains a low-resistance connection for optimal system performance.
Whether you are fitting out a new LiFePO4 battery system, upgrading a camper trailer, or replacing an old corroded switch on a boat, this unit offers professional-grade reliability in a package that fits almost anywhere.
Secure your electrical system with the Blue Sea m-Series switch today for reliable isolation and safety.
