Blue Sea DPST OFF-ON Panel-Mount Toggle Switch
Blue Sea DPST OFF-ON Panel-Mount Toggle Switch
Fits A-Series Breaker Apertures & 5/8" (16mm) Holes - Marine Grade

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Dual-Pole Control for Marine and Automotive Electrical Panels
The Blue Sea DPST OFF-ON Panel-Mount Toggle Switch delivers dependable, manual circuit control for demanding electrical systems. Engineered with a Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) configuration, this switch allows operators to simultaneously make or break two separate electrical conductors from a single ergonomic white toggle actuator. This dual-pole functionality is essential when you need to isolate both positive and negative lines simultaneously, or when controlling two independent circuits with a single switch action in a custom electrical distribution panel.
Seamless Integration with A-Series Breaker Panels
Designing a clean, uniform dashboard or electrical distribution board is straightforward with this panel-mount toggle switch. It is specifically manufactured to fit straight into standard Blue Sea Systems A-Series toggle circuit breaker apertures. To ensure broad compatibility across various custom dashboards and legacy panels, the unit comes supplied with a dedicated mounting adapter that fits a standard 5/8-inch (approx. 16mm) circuit-breaker mounting hole. This allows system builders and marine electricians to install non-breaker switching functions right alongside A-Series circuit breakers, maintaining a cohesive, OEM-grade aesthetic across the entire helm or control console.
Marine-Grade Construction for Harsh Environments
Standard automotive switches often fail prematurely when exposed to high humidity, salt spray, and persistent vibration. This Blue Sea toggle switch mitigates the risk of corrosion-induced voltage drop and mechanical failure by utilising a heavy-duty nickel-plated brass and phenolic construction. The non-corrosive materials provide high dielectric strength, structural rigidity, and resistance to thermal degradation. At the rear of the phenolic body, male quick-connect spade terminals allow for rapid, secure electrical wiring, reducing installation time in tight behind-panel spaces while maintaining solid conductivity.
Key Features and Benefits
- DPST OFF-ON Configuration: Operates two poles simultaneously from a single manual toggle lever for complete circuit isolation or dual-load activation.
- A-Series Panel Compatibility: Drops directly into A-Series toggle circuit breaker apertures for a clean, matching panel layout.
- 5/8-Inch Adapter Included: Supplied with a black faceplate adapter to suit standard 5/8-inch (approx. 16mm) mounting holes, complete with Phillips head mounting fasteners.
- Non-Corrosive Materials: Built from marine-grade nickel-plated brass and durable phenolic resin to resist moisture and salt air degradation.
- Quick-Connect Terminals: Features male spade terminals for fast, reliable wiring connections during installation or maintenance.
Versatile Applications Across Marine and Off-Grid Systems
While purpose-built to meet the rigours of marine helm stations and boat switchboards, the robust architecture of the BS-8210B makes it equally suitable for heavy-duty automotive, 4WD, caravan, and industrial equipment panels. It is widely specified for switching auxiliary loads where overcurrent protection is already handled upstream by a fuse block or primary circuit breaker. Common applications include:
- Activating marine bilge pumps and engine room blowers
- Controlling generator starters and remote engine controls
- Operating windshield wipers, navigation lights, and signal horns
- Isolating dual-circuit auxiliary lighting or instrumentation in RVs and service vehicles
