Snap-In I-O-II Actuator for Gauge & DC Battery Management Modules

DESCRIPTION
Seamless Integration for Custom Marine and Off-Grid Electrical Panels
The Blue Sea Systems BS-7492B is a purpose-built Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) rocker switch engineered specifically for integration into the Blue Sea 360 Panel System. When designing or upgrading a marine electrical distribution board, caravan power management setup, or custom off-grid control panel, maintaining uniformity and physical compatibility is essential. This switch eliminates the guesswork and modification often required when fitting aftermarket switches, providing an exact factory fit into compatible 360 panel modules.
Versatile DPDT On-Off-On Circuit Control
Featuring a Double Pole Double Throw configuration with an On-Off-On action, this component offers versatile control for complex electrical circuits. A DPDT switch essentially functions as two separate switches operating simultaneously via a single actuator, allowing you to control two independent circuits or reverse polarity in specific applications. The central "Off" position ensures a positive disconnect between the two active states, preventing accidental cross-connection when switching between sources or operational modes.
In practical marine and RV applications, an On-Off-On DPDT switch is frequently utilised for:
- Switching a single gauge or meter between two different battery banks or tank senders to monitor multiple levels from one display.
- Controlling dual-speed appliances, such as windscreen wipers or ventilation fans.
- Managing navigation and anchor light configurations where dual poles are required to isolate circuits correctly.
- Reversing polarity for small DC actuators, trim tabs, or motorised hatches.
Engineered for the 360 Panel System
The Blue Sea 360 Panel System is widely recognised in the marine and automotive industries for its modular flexibility. The BS-7492B switch features a durable plastic housing with a snap-in mounting bezel, designed to lock securely into the corresponding panel cutouts without the need for complex mounting hardware. This reduces the risk of the switch working loose due to vessel pounding or road corrugations.
This specific switch is documented for compatibility with the following 360 Panel modules:
- Gauge Modules: Ideal for toggling a single voltmeter or ammeter between start and house battery banks.
- DC Push Button + Switch Modules: Expands the control capabilities of your custom switch clusters.
- DC Battery Management Modules: Provides reliable auxiliary switching alongside your main battery isolation controls.
Ergonomic Design and Clear Identification
Constructed with a contoured black rocker actuator, the switch provides positive tactile feedback when toggled between positions. The actuator is clearly marked with white I-O-II position indicators, allowing the operator to verify the switch state at a glance. Manufactured with a Carling Technologies 62112X3 mechanism, it meets the rigorous standards expected by marine electricians and system installers.
Key Features and Benefits
- Exact 360 Panel Fitment: Snap-in mounting bezel locks directly into specified Blue Sea 360 modules for a clean, factory-grade finish.
- DPDT Configuration: Double Pole Double Throw design allows simultaneous control of two isolated circuits or multi-source selection.
- Three-Position Actuator: On-Off-On operation with a centre-off position for safe circuit isolation before switching states.
- Clear Visual Indicators: Contrasting white I-O-II markings on a contoured black rocker ensure easy status identification.
- Reliable Construction: Built upon proven Carling Technologies switching mechanics for dependable operation in mobile and marine environments.
