Blue Sea Contura2 LVD Remote Switch
Blue Sea Contura2 LVD Remote Switch
Dash-Mount m-LVD Control with Manual Override & LED Status Indicator

DESCRIPTION
Convenient Helm and Dash Control for Blue Sea m-LVD Systems
The Blue Sea Contura2 LVD Remote Switch provides dedicated, accessible control for your Blue Sea Systems m-LVD (Mini Low Voltage Disconnect) setup. In many marine, caravan, and specialised automotive installations, the primary low voltage disconnect unit is mounted near the battery bank or in an enclosed electrical locker. This remote rocker switch allows you to manage your power distribution and monitor battery status directly from your helm, dashboard, or main control panel.
Intuitive Operation and Visual Status Monitoring
Designed to integrate seamlessly into standard rocker switch panels, this Contura II style accessory eliminates the guesswork from managing your auxiliary battery systems. The switch features an integrated red LED indicator window marked with a clear battery icon, providing immediate visual feedback when the low voltage disconnect is activated or when battery voltage drops to critical levels.
Beyond status monitoring, the switch offers crucial manual control over your electrical system. The upper position provides a manual override function, allowing you to temporarily reconnect loads in emergency situations even if the m-LVD has triggered a disconnect. Conversely, the lower position allows you to manually switch the system off, acting as a convenient master disconnect for downstream loads when leaving your vessel or vehicle unattended to prevent parasitic drain.
Key Features and Benefits
- Direct m-LVD Compatibility: Purpose-built to interface with the Blue Sea m-LVD range for reliable remote operation.
- Manual Override Function: Top rocker position allows temporary restoration of power during low-voltage events when critical equipment must be run.
- System Off Control: Lower rocker position enables manual disconnection of non-essential loads to conserve battery charge during storage.
- Integrated LED Status Indicator: Red illuminated battery icon clearly alerts operators to LVD activation and system state.
- Ergonomic Contura II Actuator: Features a black dimpled surface for a tactile, non-slip grip in wet or vibrating environments.
- High-Contrast Labelling: Crisp white text clearly identifies Override, Low Voltage Disconnect, and Off positions for mistake-free operation.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Using unbranded or standard toggle switches for critical battery management can lead to premature failure, unclear system status, and accidental battery depletion. As an authentic Blue Sea Systems component, this Contura2 switch is built to withstand the rigours of marine and off-grid travel. The tactile, dimpled actuator ensures positive engagement even when operating with wet hands or in rough seas, while the high-contrast markings remain legible over years of service.
Applications
This remote switch is an essential addition for any system utilising a Blue Sea m-LVD where the main unit is out of sight or reach. It is ideally suited for:
- Marine helm panels and boat dashboards
- Caravan, motorhome, and camper trailer control panels
- 4WD canopies and dual-battery utility setups
- Emergency and commercial service vehicles
