Blue Sea Contura SPDT Switch with (ON)OFF(ON) Switching
Blue Sea Contura SPDT Switch with (ON)OFF(ON) Switching
Red Battery Icon Actuator - Moisture, Salt Spray & Vibration Resistant

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty Momentary Rocker Switch for Marine and Off-Road Electrical Systems
Managing critical auxiliary circuits and battery isolators requires hardware built to endure harsh operating conditions. The Blue Sea Contura SPDT Switch delivers dependable momentary circuit control, engineered specifically for exposed marine dashboards, 4WD consoles, and industrial control panels. Featuring a single pole double throw (SPDT) configuration with a spring-return (ON)-OFF-(ON) mechanism, this switch is purpose-built for applications requiring temporary activation from a central off position.
Engineered for Extreme Environments
Standard automotive switches frequently fail when subjected to coastal air, water splashes, or constant corrugated road vibrations, leading to corroded terminals and unreliable electrical contact. This Contura series rocker switch mitigates the risk of premature failure through a specialized protective housing. It is rigorously constructed to resist moisture ingress, salt spray, and physical shock. Furthermore, its high resistance to thermoshock ensures stable mechanical and electrical performance across rapid temperature fluctuations, making it an exceptional choice for open cockpit boats and rugged off-grid touring setups.
Intuitive Operation and Secure Installation
Equipped with a vibrant red Contura rocker actuator displaying a clear battery icon, this unit provides immediate visual identification on crowded switch panels. The dual momentary action means the actuator remains in the centre OFF position at rest, only engaging the circuit while actively pressed in either direction. This makes it particularly effective for controlling remote battery switches, dual battery linking solenoids, trim tabs, or winch directional controls where continuous, unattended activation must be prevented.
- Momentary (ON)-OFF-(ON) Action: Spring-return mechanism prevents accidental continuous circuit engagement, ideal for remote battery management and solenoid triggers.
- Marine-Grade Environmental Protection: Specially sealed housing resists moisture, salt spray, vibration, shock, and extreme temperature shifts.
- High-Visibility Red Actuator: Features an integrated battery symbol and clear indicator text for rapid identification in critical situations.
- Quick-Connect Blade Terminals: Rear blade terminals facilitate secure, straightforward wiring and integration into custom panels or Blue Sea Systems water-resistant panels.
Reliable Control for Demanding Applications
Whether you are fitting out a commercial marine vessel, upgrading a caravan electrical distribution board, or building a custom 12V or 24V 4WD canopy system, selecting robust switching components reduces the risk of electrical faults in remote locations. The industry-standard Contura mounting footprint ensures seamless integration into existing dashboard cutouts and modular switch mounting brackets.
Upgrade your dashboard or electrical control panel with the Blue Sea Contura SPDT Switch today to ensure resilient, responsive momentary switching across your mobile or marine power system.
