Blue Sea Contura SPDT(ON)OFF(ON) Dimmer Switch
Blue Sea Contura SPDT(ON)OFF(ON) Dimmer Switch
Momentary Rocker with BRIGHT/DIM Legends for Waterproof Panels

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Lighting Control for Marine and Off-Grid Electrical Panels
The Blue Sea Contura SPDT(ON)OFF(ON) Dimmer Switch is a specialized panel-mount rocker switch engineered to provide tactile, momentary control over compatible dimming systems. Purpose-built to integrate seamlessly into Blue Sea Systems waterproof panels, this component is ideal for marine dashes, caravan control boards, and custom 4WD electrical canopies where moisture, salt spray, and vibration are constant challenges.
Featuring a Single Pole Double Throw (ON)OFF(ON) momentary action, the switch automatically returns to the centre off position when released. This allows for precise incremental adjustments when paired with a pulse-controlled dimmer module, giving you effortless command over cabin, deck, or cockpit illumination.
Key Features & Design Benefits
- Momentary SPDT Configuration: The (ON)OFF(ON) spring-return action provides accurate pulse signaling to increase or decrease light output without sticking in an active state.
- Permanent Etched Legends: Clearly marked with BRIGHT and DIM labels on the actuator face, ensuring immediate visual identification and preventing fade or wear over years of heavy use.
- Tactile Contura Actuator: Designed with raised traction ridges on the black rocker surface, allowing for confident, non-slip operation even with wet hands or in pitch-black conditions.
- Integrated Sealing Gasket: Equipped with a rubber perimeter gasket to maintain a weatherproof seal against the mounting face when installed into compatible waterproof switch panels.
- Standard Spade Termination: Utilizes rear male spade connectors for straightforward, secure crimping and reliable electrical continuity.
Why Upgrade Over Standard Rocker Switches?
In demanding marine and off-road environments, standard unsealed switches often suffer from water ingress, corroded contacts, and worn-off printed labels. Using an inferior switch on a helm or exterior canopy panel increases the risk of short circuits and premature component failure. The Blue Sea Systems Contura series resolves these issues by combining a sealed interface with durable mechanical construction. The crisp, etched legends will not rub off from sunscreen, salt, or frequent handling, maintaining a professional and legible dashboard layout.
Installation and Compatibility Notes
This switch is specifically profiled to snap into Blue Sea Systems waterproof Contura panels and individual Contura mounting brackets. Please note that Contura switch mounting panels, wiring harnesses, and separate dimmer control modules are not included and must be sourced separately to suit your specific lighting circuit requirements.
