Blue Sea Contura II DPDT ON-OFF-ON Switch, Black
Blue Sea Contura II DPDT ON-OFF-ON Switch, Black
Salt Spray & Vibration Resistant - Dual Red Lenses & 6.3mm Terminals

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty Three-Position Switching for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments
Managing dual-circuit electrical systems in demanding environments requires components engineered to withstand constant mechanical and environmental stress. This panel-mount rocker switch features a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) configuration with a defined three-position ON-OFF-ON operation. The central OFF position provides a clear physical separation between the two active circuits, reducing the risk of accidental cross-switching when managing complex power, lighting, or directional control layouts in marine vessels, 4WDs, and off-grid canopies.
Engineered for Extreme Environmental Resistance
Standard automotive switches often succumb to corrosion, contact failure, and water ingress when exposed to coastal air or heavy corrugated roads. Engineered specifically for high-exposure applications, this Contura II switch is built to resist vibration, shock, thermoshock, moisture, and salt spray. An integrated neoprene weatherproof gasket creates a reliable seal when mounted into compatible panels, protecting your behind-panel wiring and sensitive DC electronics from water and dust ingress.
Ergonomic Control and Clear Visual Indication
Designed for intuitive operation in low-light or wet conditions, the black Contura II actuator features a dimpled texture on the rocker face for improved tactile grip. The switch incorporates dual red illumination lenses—a square upper lens and a lower indicator bar—allowing for clear status monitoring and circuit identification on crowded dashboards or control consoles. On the rear, standard 6.3mm blade terminals facilitate straightforward, secure crimp connections during installation or maintenance.
- DPDT ON-OFF-ON Configuration: Provides versatile three-position control for dual circuits, ideal for navigation/anchor lights, bilge pump modes, or dual battery auxiliaries.
- Environmental Protection: Tested for resistance against salt spray, moisture, thermoshock, and heavy vibration to prevent premature electrical failure.
- Tactile Contura II Actuator: Black ergonomic rocker face with a dimpled grip profile and integrated dual red indicator lenses for circuit visibility.
- Seamless Panel Integration: Designed to snap directly into Blue Sea Systems Contura Water Resistant Panels and Contura Switch Mounting Panels with a neoprene mounting gasket.
- Standard Connectivity: Equipped with rear 6.3mm blade terminals for reliable integration with standard marine and automotive wiring harnesses.
Versatile Applications for Marine and Mobile Systems
Whether you are fitting out a commercial workboat, upgrading a marine helm, or building a custom 12V or 24V electrical system in a touring vehicle, reliable switching is critical to system safety. The DPDT ON-OFF-ON layout is widely utilised for applications requiring two distinct operational modes with a positive centre shut-off, such as combining navigation and anchor lighting onto a single switch, controlling windscreen wiper speeds, or switching between two separate tank level senders on a single gauge.
Upgrade your control panel with the Blue Sea Contura II DPDT switch to ensure dependable, weather-resistant circuit management across your marine or off-grid electrical installation.
