Blue Sea Contura 2 SPDT ON-OFF-ON Black Switch
Blue Sea Contura 2 SPDT ON-OFF-ON Black Switch
Salt Spray & Moisture Resistant - Dual Red Lenses & Tactile Grip

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty Three-Position Rocker Switching for Marine and Off-Road Panels
Engineered for demanding electrical systems, the Blue Sea Systems Contura II SPDT Switch delivers reliable three-position circuit control in harsh environments. Featuring an ON-OFF-ON configuration with a dedicated centre-off position, this Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) rocker switch allows seamless management of dual-function accessories or two-circuit applications from a single panel cutout. Whether you are outfitting a marine helm, a 4WD dashboard, or an off-grid caravan control panel, this switch provides dependable mechanical and electrical performance.
Built for Harsh Australian Environments
Standard automotive switches often fail when exposed to continuous vibration, high humidity, or coastal air. The Contura II series is specifically manufactured to resist vibration, physical shock, thermoshock, moisture, and corrosive salt spray. An integrated foam weatherproof gasket forms a protective seal around the mounting aperture, helping to reduce the risk of water ingress and terminal corrosion behind your dash or switchboard. This environmental resilience prevents premature electrical failure and intermittent circuit dropouts during off-road travel or rough sea conditions.
Ergonomic Design and Visual Circuit Feedback
Operating switches in wet, dark, or bumpy conditions requires intuitive tactile and visual cues. The Contura II black actuator features a raised, textured grip surface with tactile bumps, providing non-slip operation when your hands are wet or gloved. To eliminate guesswork during night navigation or low-light operation, the switch incorporates dual red lenses: a top square lens and a bottom horizontal bar lens for clear visual status feedback when circuits are active.
- SPDT ON-OFF-ON Configuration: Controls two separate circuits from a single common power source with a positive centre-off position.
- Extreme Environmental Resistance: Engineered to withstand vibration, shock, thermoshock, moisture, and salt spray.
- Dual Red Lenses: Top square and bottom bar lenses provide clear visual circuit status indication.
- Tactile Contura II Actuator: Raised grip surface ensures secure, non-slip manual operation in wet or bumpy conditions.
- Integrated Weatherproof Gasket: Foam seal helps prevent moisture and dust ingress into the panel cavity.
- Seamless Panel Integration: Directly fits Blue Sea Systems Contura Water Resistant Panels and Contura Switch Mounting Panels.
Versatile Dual-Circuit Applications
The Single Pole Double Throw ON-OFF-ON layout is an essential component for managing multi-state electrical hardware in 12V and 24V DC systems. By consolidating two related functions into one switch body, you save valuable dashboard space and simplify your wiring harness via rear spade terminals. Common applications include:
- Marine Navigation Lights: Switching between running lights (ON), off (OFF), and anchor lights (ON).
- Bilge and Transfer Pumps: Toggling between manual override, off, and automatic float switch modes.
- 4WD and Caravan Lighting: Controlling dual-colour camp lights, high/low intensity work lights, or dual-zone canopy illumination.
- Wipers and Fans: Selecting between high and low speed settings from a single mounting slot.
Upgrade Your Control Panel
Ensure your electrical accessories operate reliably when you need them most. Integrate this Blue Sea Contura II SPDT switch into your compatible Contura mounting panel today for professional-grade circuit control on the water or off the beaten track.
