Blue Sea Contura 2 SPDT 3-Position ON-OFF-ON Switch, Black
Blue Sea Contura 2 SPDT 3-Position ON-OFF-ON Switch, Black
Water & Salt Spray Resistant - Red Illuminated Lens & Tactile Grip

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Dual-Circuit Control for Harsh Marine and Automotive Environments
Engineered for Vibration, Moisture, and Salt Spray Resistance
Managing multiple electrical circuits in demanding environments requires components built to withstand continuous exposure to the elements. The Blue Sea Systems Contura 2 SPDT Switch delivers dependable three-position (ON-OFF-ON) circuit control for marine vessels, 4WDs, caravans, and commercial vehicles. Featuring a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) configuration, this rocker switch allows operators to seamlessly toggle between two separate circuit paths from a single power source, with a positive centre OFF position to prevent accidental cross-switching.
Standard automotive switches often fail prematurely when subjected to coastal air, heavy washdowns, or corrugated off-grid tracks. This Contura 2 switch is specifically engineered to resist vibration, shock, thermoshock, moisture, and salt spray. Whether you are wiring a dual-speed windscreen wiper, switching between navigation and anchor lights, or controlling manual and automatic bilge pump overrides, this unit reduces the risk of electrical failure and contact corrosion.
Ergonomic Design and Visual Status Indication
Operating switches in dark cabins, rough seas, or uneven terrain requires intuitive ergonomics. The Contura 2 series incorporates raised tactile bumps on the black actuator face, providing non-slip grip and immediate physical feedback so you can identify the switch feel without taking your eyes off the path ahead. Additionally, an integrated red illuminated lens offers clear visual status indication in low-light environments.
- SPDT ON-OFF-ON Action: Simplifies wiring by controlling two distinct electrical loads or functions from one compact mounting footprint.
- Environmental Sealing: An integrated rubber panel mounting gasket ensures a secure, water-resistant seal against dashboard and console surfaces.
- Tactile Actuator Face: Raised dots on the rocker surface provide positive grip and confident operation in wet conditions.
- Built for Extreme Conditions: Rigorously tested to withstand extreme temperature shifts (thermoshock), heavy vibration, and corrosive salt spray.
- Standardised Connectivity: Equipped with three rear spade terminals for straightforward integration into existing wiring looms.
Seamless Panel Integration
Designed for clean, professional dashboard installations, this switch mounts directly into Blue Sea Systems Contura Water Resistant Panels and Contura Switch Mounting Panels. The snap-in mounting body locks firmly into standard rectangular panel cutouts, eliminating the need for complex bracketry while maintaining a cohesive, OEM-grade appearance across your helm or canopy control board.
