Blue Sea Contura 2 DPDT ON-ON Switch, Black
Blue Sea Contura 2 DPDT ON-ON Switch, Black
Moisture & Salt Spray Resistant - Fits Contura Water Resistant Panels

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Double-Pole Double-Throw Switching for Demanding Environments
Engineered for Blue Sea Systems Contura Panels in Marine and Off-Road Setups
The Blue Sea Contura 2 DPDT ON-ON Switch delivers dependable circuit control for complex electrical installations in marine vessels, 4WDs, caravans, and industrial equipment. Featuring a two-position Double Pole, Double Throw (DPDT) configuration, this panel-mount rocker switch allows you to control two separate circuits simultaneously or alternate power between two distinct loads without requiring a centre-off position. It is specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly into Blue Sea Systems Contura Water Resistant Panels and Contura Switch Mounting Panels.
Built to Withstand Harsh Australian Conditions
Standard automotive switches often fail prematurely when exposed to corrosive coastal air, heavy corrugations, or extreme temperature fluctuations. The Contura 2 series mitigates the risk of electrical failure and voltage drop caused by corroded contacts or mechanical fatigue. Designed with an integrated foam sealing gasket, it provides a tight seal against the mounting surface to protect internal components and rear wiring from water ingress.
Whether mounted on an exposed boat helm or in the cabin of a touring vehicle, this heavy-duty rocker switch is thoroughly tested to resist:
- Moisture and Salt Spray: Prevents internal corrosion and short circuits in coastal and marine environments.
- Vibration and Physical Shock: Ensures contacts remain firmly engaged over rough terrain and choppy waters.
- Thermoshock: Maintains structural and electrical integrity across rapid and extreme temperature changes.
Ergonomic Design and Clear Status Indication
Operating switches in wet, dark, or high-vibration conditions requires intuitive design. The Contura 2 actuator features raised tactile grip bumps on the black rocker face, allowing for positive finger traction and confident operation even with wet or gloved hands. For immediate visual feedback, the switch incorporates a red circular textured window and an integrated horizontal bar indicator, ensuring clear circuit status visibility during both day and night operations. Rear blade terminals provide straightforward connections for standard marine and automotive wiring harnesses.
