Teardrop Circuit Identification Decals for Marine & RV Isolators
DESCRIPTION
Professional Circuit Identification for Marine and Off-Grid Electrical Systems
Standardised Teardrop Decals for Clear Battery Isolation Recognition
Properly labelling high-current isolation switches is a fundamental requirement for safe and efficient electrical system management. The Blue Sea Battery Switch ICON Label Kit provides 18 standardised, teardrop-shaped decals designed specifically to recess cleanly into compatible battery switches. Whether you are commissioning a complex multi-engine vessel, wiring a dual-battery 4WD canopy, or upgrading a caravan power distribution board, clear visual identification ensures any operator can immediately recognise which circuit a switch controls.
In emergency situations or during routine maintenance, guessing which isolator disconnects the starter motor versus the house battery bank introduces unnecessary operational risks. By utilising universally recognised pictograms alongside clear text, this label kit eliminates confusion and brings your switchboard up to a professional, OEM-grade standard.
Engineered to Outlast Standard Stickers
In demanding marine, RV, and automotive environments, standard paper labels or homemade Dymo tape quickly degrade. Exposure to UV radiation, salt spray, humidity, and engine bay heat causes inferior adhesives to peel and ink to fade, leaving your critical power controls unlabelled when you need them most. Blue Sea Systems designs these icon labels specifically for harsh environments, ensuring long-term legibility and secure adhesion on your battery control panels.
Comprehensive Coverage for Multi-Battery Setups
This 18-piece sheet includes a versatile selection of decals tailored to modern DC and AC power architectures. It caters to complex configurations, including multi-engine marine setups and segmented off-grid battery banks.
- Multi-Engine & Propulsion Support: Includes four numbered engine icons to clearly differentiate port, starboard, and centre engine starting circuits, alongside a dedicated Bow Thruster decal.
- Segmented Battery Bank Management: Features numbered battery icons (1, 2, and 3) plus a dedicated House icon to easily separate primary starting batteries from auxiliary lithium or AGM storage banks.
- High-Draw Auxiliary Circuits: Specific pictograms for high-amperage loads including Inverter, Windlass, and Chassis circuits prevent accidental disconnection of vital equipment.
- Recessed Teardrop Profile: Precision-cut to fit directly into the recessed label zones on compatible Blue Sea Systems battery switches (such as the e-Series and HD-Series), protecting the label edges from snagging or peeling during switch operation.
- Intuitive Visual Recognition: High-contrast icons allow crew members, family, or technicians unfamiliar with your custom wiring layout to safely isolate the correct circuit at a glance.
Reduce Operational Risks in Critical Moments
Accidental isolation of a running alternator or premature disconnection of a live inverter can cause costly damage to sensitive electronics. Conversely, failing to isolate a high-current windlass or bow thruster during a fault can create serious safety hazards. Installing dedicated, purpose-built labels directly onto the switch face reduces human error and streamlines troubleshooting across 12V, 24V, and 48V electrical installations.
