Blue Sea A-Series Single Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker Panel Blank
Blue Sea A-Series Single Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker Panel Blank
3.2mm 5052 Marine Aluminium in Slate Grey - Suits Large Format Labels

DESCRIPTION
Seamless Expansion and Customisation for Marine and Off-Grid Electrical Panels
Maintaining a clean, organised, and factory-finished electrical switchboard is essential for safe system management in marine vessels, caravans, and off-grid setups. The Blue Sea Systems BS-8072B is a precision-engineered mounting solution designed to house a single compatible A-Series Single Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker. Finished in the standard Blue Sea Systems slate grey, this panel blank integrates into existing modular switchboards or custom enclosures to preserve a uniform, professional aesthetic across your entire power distribution setup.
Marine-Grade 5052 Aluminium Alloy Construction
Electrical panels in coastal, marine, and mobile environments are frequently exposed to high humidity, salt air, and continuous mechanical vibration. Standard, unrated mounting plates can corrode, flex, or degrade over time, compromising the physical stability of your circuit protection components. To eliminate these risks, this mounting blank is manufactured from heavy-duty 1/8 inch (approx. 3.2mm) thick 5052 aluminium alloy.
Renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance and high strength-to-weight ratio, 5052 aluminium provides a rigid, unyielding base for your circuit breaker. When operating a manual toggle switch under load or during an emergency disconnect, the 3.2mm plate prevents panel flexing and ensures secure mechanical operation year after year.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Precision Toggle Aperture: Pre-machined centre cut-out and mounting holes specifically sized for a drop-in fit with Blue Sea Systems A-Series Single Pole Toggle Circuit Breakers.
- Integrated Label Recess: Features a dedicated recess engineered to accept a Blue Sea Systems Large Format Panel label for clear, permanent circuit identification.
- Status Indicator Provision: Includes a pre-drilled aperture above the breaker mount to accommodate a circuit status indicator LED for rapid visual diagnostics.
- Heavy-Duty Material: Constructed from 1/8 inch (approx. 3.2mm) 5052 marine-grade aluminium alloy for superior structural integrity and rust resistance.
- OEM Colour Match: Coated in a durable slate grey finish that matches standard Blue Sea Systems distribution panels.
- Mounting Hardware Included: Supplied with four mounting screws for straightforward installation into compatible panel frames.
Streamlined Circuit Identification and Diagnostics
In complex 12V, 24V, or AC electrical systems, immediate circuit identification is critical for both daily operation and fault troubleshooting. The integrated label recess on the BS-8072B ensures that your custom circuit additions do not rely on temporary or poorly adhered stickers that peel off in humid cabins or hot service compartments. Pairing this blank with a compatible Large Format Panel label and an indicator LED creates an intuitive interface where active circuits are clearly named and illuminated.
Please note: This product is the aluminium mounting panel blank and installation screws only. The A-Series circuit breaker, indicator LED, and Large Format Panel labels are sold separately to allow complete customisation for your specific amperage and labelling requirements.
Ideal Applications
- Expanding circuit capacity in existing Blue Sea Systems modular AC or DC distribution panels
- Replacing damaged or mislabelled blanks in marine helm stations and yacht switchboards
- Building custom power control boards for caravans, camper trailers, and 4WD canopies
