Blue Sea 80A C-Series Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 80A C-Series Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Simultaneous 3-Pole Overcurrent Protection & Heavy-Duty Rear Studs

DESCRIPTION
Integrated Multi-Pole Switching and Overcurrent Protection
The Blue Sea C-Series 80A Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker is engineered to consolidate high-current circuit switching and dependable overcurrent protection into a single, compact device. Designed for demanding marine, off-grid, and industrial power systems, this unit eliminates the need to install separate battery switches and fuse blocks. By integrating both functions, it streamlines your electrical panel layout, reduces potential points of failure, and simplifies wiring complexity.
Featuring a mechanically linked triple-pole configuration, all three poles are connected via a single white toggle bar. This ganged lever design ensures that if an overcurrent event occurs on any single line, all three poles will trip simultaneously. This immediate, synchronised disconnection is vital for protecting complex three-phase AC setups, multi-wire DC distribution systems, or applications requiring simultaneous isolation of positive, negative, and control lines.
Key Features and Technical Advantages
- Simultaneous Multi-Pole Isolation: Mechanically joined white toggle levers ensure all three circuits switch on or trip off together for comprehensive equipment protection.
- Dual-Function Design: Combines manual circuit switching and automatic overcurrent protection into one unit, saving valuable panel space.
- Heavy-Duty Rear Stud Terminals: Built to accommodate substantial cable lugs required for 80A current flows, ensuring low-resistance connections and minimal heat build-up.
- Integrated Brass Mounting Inserts: Threaded front-panel inserts provide secure, vibration-resistant installation in mobile and marine environments.
- Clear Visual Status: The prominent toggle actuator provides immediate visual confirmation of the circuit status and carries a clear 80A amperage marking on the breaker face.
Engineered for Demanding Marine and Off-Grid Environments
In mobile and marine electrical installations, vibration, moisture, and thermal cycling can quickly degrade inferior electrical components. Standard single-pole breakers or unlinked switches present a significant risk in multi-wire circuits, where a fault on one line might leave other live conductors connected, creating a hazard during maintenance or equipment failure. The Blue Sea C-Series addresses these risks through robust mechanical construction and synchronised pole actuation.
The heavy-duty rear stud terminals are specifically sized to handle the thick gauge wiring necessary for 80A loads, preventing loose connections that can lead to voltage drop or thermal runaway. Furthermore, the integrated brass mounting inserts allow for clean, secure front-panel integration inside main distribution boards, inverter enclosures, or custom marine switchboards.
Typical Applications
Whether you are fitting out a commercial vessel, upgrading an off-grid solar cabin, or building a custom mobile workspace, this triple-pole circuit breaker offers versatile protection across various high-load scenarios:
- Main circuit protection and isolation for three-phase AC power systems and generators
- Simultaneous switching and protection of positive and negative conductors in isolated DC systems
- Multi-circuit battery bank management and high-output inverter or charger isolation
- Heavy-duty circuit control in caravans, motorhomes, expedition vehicles, and marine vessels
