Blue Sea 80-270VAC Digital Voltage Meter
Blue Sea 80-270VAC Digital Voltage Meter
Splashproof Face, 3-Level Red LED, Sleep Mode & Threaded Panel Mount

DESCRIPTION
Reliable AC Voltage Monitoring for Marine, RV, and Off-Grid Panels
Maintaining stable alternating current is essential for protecting sensitive onboard appliances and electrical infrastructure. The Blue Sea Systems 80-270V AC Digital Voltage Meter provides accurate, real-time monitoring of your AC power sources, whether you are connected to 240V Australian shore power, running an onboard generator, or drawing from an off-grid inverter. Featuring a high-contrast red LED display, this compact gauge allows system operators to quickly identify voltage drops, surges, or unstable power supplies before they cause damage to air conditioners, battery chargers, or refrigeration units.
Engineered for Cabin Comfort and Power Efficiency
Standard panel indicators often suffer from overly bright displays that cause night blindness on a vessel bridge or disturb sleeping quarters in a caravan. This digital AC voltmeter solves that issue with a front-mounted control button that cycles through three distinct brightness levels. For complete darkness and zero parasitic draw when the system is not actively being observed, a manual sleep mode completely blanks the screen to conserve vital system power.
Durable Panel-Mount Construction
Designed specifically for the rigours of mobile and marine environments, this meter utilizes a standard circular panel-mount housing with a durable threaded body. The heavy-duty plastic locking nut ensures a secure, vibration-resistant attachment to your dashboard, switchboard, or custom electrical panel, reducing the risk of the unit working loose over corrugated roads or choppy waters.
The front faceplate is engineered to be splashproof, protecting the internal electronics from incidental water exposure in marine cockpits or external RV lockers. Please note that while the front face is splashproof when properly mounted, this does not indicate that the entire rear body of the meter is waterproof, so the rear terminals must be installed in a dry, protected enclosure.
Key Features and Benefits
- Wide 80V to 270V AC Range: Suitable for monitoring standard 240V AC Australian mains, shore power, inverters, and international 110V/120V AC systems.
- Adjustable Red LED Display: Three selectable brightness levels ensure clear visibility in direct sunlight and reduced glare during night operations.
- Power-Saving Sleep Mode: Manual screen-blanking function eliminates light emission in sleeping cabins and reduces unnecessary power consumption.
- Splashproof Front Face: Resists moisture ingress on the display side, making it suitable for marine helm stations and exposed control panels.
- Vibration-Resistant Mounting: Threaded cylindrical housing with a large rear locking nut allows for straightforward installation into standard circular panel cutouts.
Applications
Unlike basic unbranded indicators that can suffer from display flicker, inaccurate readings, or premature failure in humid environments, Blue Sea Systems instruments are built for long-term reliability in demanding electrical installations. This AC voltmeter is ideal for:
- Marine AC main distribution panels and shore power inlets
- Caravan, motorhome, and camper trailer 240V inverter monitoring
- Off-grid solar cabin AC distribution boards
- Mobile service trucks and industrial generator control panels
Upgrade Your AC Electrical Panel
Ensure your shore power and inverter systems are operating within safe parameters. Add the Blue Sea 80-270V AC Digital Voltage Meter to your electrical setup for dependable, glare-free voltage monitoring.
