Blue Sea 8-16VDC Micro Voltmeter
Blue Sea 8-16VDC Micro Voltmeter
Analogue White Face Gauge with Separate 12V/24V Backlight Connections

DESCRIPTION
Compact Analogue Voltage Monitoring for 12V Systems
Managing battery health in mobile, marine, and off-grid installations requires continuous, reliable visibility into your power supply. The Blue Sea 8–16V DC Micro Voltmeter provides dedicated, real-time tracking of your 12V electrical architecture without consuming valuable dashboard or switchboard real estate. By focusing specifically on the critical 8V to 16V operating window, this analogue gauge offers much finer resolution where it matters most, compared to standard 0V to 30V meters. This allows you to immediately spot subtle voltage drops during heavy load conditions or verify that your alternator, solar charge controller, or DC-DC charger is delivering the correct charging profile.
High-Contrast Display with Independent Backlighting
Designed for clarity in all lighting conditions, the meter features a clean white dial face paired with a sharp, high-contrast indicator needle and a durable black bezel. For night navigation or dimly lit equipment bays, the integrated backlight ensures effortless readability. A major technical advantage of this micro gauge is its separate 12V or 24V DC backlight connections. This independent wiring architecture allows you to wire the meter illumination directly into your existing 12V or 24V dash lighting circuit or dimmer switch, completely isolated from the specific 12V battery bank being monitored. Furthermore, the gauge eliminates the constant parasitic power draw often associated with always-on digital displays when the backlight is switched off.
- Targeted 8V to 16V DC Scale: Focused measurement range provides superior visual resolution for 12V nominal battery systems, making it easy to identify state of charge and charging states at a glance.
- Independent Backlight Wiring: Separate terminal connections support either 12V or 24V DC power for the meter illumination, allowing seamless integration with your vessel or vehicle dash lighting.
- Space-Saving Micro Housing: Compact square footprint fits effortlessly into tight helm stations, custom caravan control panels, and crowded electrical cabinets.
- Front Calibration Adjustment: Includes an accessible zero-point adjustment screw on the face to maintain precise mechanical indicator accuracy over time.
- Analogue Reliability: Instantaneous needle response tracks rapid voltage fluctuations without the refresh lag or harsh glare of digital screens.
Engineered for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments
Substandard voltage gauges often suffer from sticky needles, fogging lenses, or inaccurate readings caused by continuous road corrugations and wave impacts. Manufactured by Blue Sea Systems, this micro voltmeter is purpose-built to withstand the demanding conditions of Australian touring and marine applications. It significantly reduces the risk of unexpected battery depletion and permanent cell damage caused by undetected under-voltage or over-charging events. Whether you are monitoring an auxiliary house battery in a 4WD canopy, checking starter battery health on a boat, or keeping an eye on a compact caravan power setup, this instrument delivers dependable performance.
Ideal Applications
- Marine Helm Panels: Monitor house or cranking batteries while syncing the backlight to 12V or 24V navigation light switches.
- 4WD and Dual Battery Setups: Track auxiliary 12V battery performance in canopies and cab consoles where mounting space is restricted.
- Caravans and Camper Trailers: Keep a constant visual check on off-grid battery banks without drawing unnecessary standby current.
- Industrial and Custom Switchboards: Integrate into bespoke DC distribution panels requiring a clean, professional analogue aesthetic.
Upgrade your electrical distribution panel with the Blue Sea 8–16V DC Micro Voltmeter today for accurate, space-saving visibility over your 12V power system.
