Blue Sea 60A C-Series Single-Pole Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 60A C-Series Single-Pole Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker
Combined Switching & Protection with 5/16" (M8) Studs & Trip-Free Design

DESCRIPTION
Combined Manual Switching and Overcurrent Protection for High-Demand Circuits
The Blue Sea C-Series 60A Single-Pole Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker is engineered to simplify electrical panel design by combining manual on-off switching and dependable overcurrent protection into a single, robust unit. Designed specifically for demanding marine, caravan, and off-grid power systems, this heavy-duty breaker eliminates the need for separate switches and fuse holders when managing high-draw appliances.
Whether you are fitting out a commercial vessel, upgrading a recreational boat, or building an off-grid 4WD canopy system, managing heavy electrical loads safely is critical. This 60A circuit breaker is purpose-built to handle the substantial startup and continuous currents associated with inverters, bow thrusters, and windlasses, providing reliable circuit isolation and fault protection when you need it most.
Ergonomic Flush-Mount Design
In mobile and marine environments, accidental switching of critical equipment can lead to operational hazards or unexpected battery drain. The C-Series flat rocker actuator is specifically shaped to sit completely flush with the mounting frame when in the ON position. This low-profile geometry significantly reduces the risk of the breaker being bumped or snagged by gear, clothing, or crew movement in tight quarters.
Visual status verification is immediate and intuitive. The recessed colour actuator clearly indicates when the breaker is in the OFF or tripped position, allowing operators to assess panel status at a glance without relying on fragile indicator LEDs that consume parasitic power.
Key Features and Technical Advantages
- Dual-Function Operation: Integrates manual circuit switching and overcurrent protection into one device, saving valuable space on crowded distribution panels.
- Trip-Free Mechanism: Internal architecture ensures the breaker cannot be manually held closed during an active fault or overcurrent event, protecting wiring and connected equipment from thermal damage.
- Flush ON Actuator: Prevents accidental shut-off of essential loads while clearly displaying a coloured indicator when switched OFF.
- Heavy-Duty Termination: Equipped with rear 5/16" (Approx. M8) terminal studs designed to accommodate heavy-gauge cables and high-current ring terminals securely.
- Secure Panel Mounting: Features brass threaded inserts for reliable, vibration-resistant attachment to marine and automotive distribution panels.
Why Upgrade to Blue Sea Systems C-Series?
Standard thermal breakers or uncertified switches often struggle under the inductive loads and high inrush currents generated by electric motors and power inverters. Substandard components can suffer from voltage drop, nuisance tripping, or welded contacts during a short-circuit event. The Blue Sea C-Series mitigates these risks through precision magnetic-hydraulic trip mechanisms and robust terminal hardware.
The inclusion of 5/16" (Approx. M8) stud terminals provides a substantial contact surface area for heavy cabling, minimising resistance and heat buildup at the connection point. Furthermore, the trip-free safety design ensures that if a short circuit occurs in your windlass or inverter wiring, the circuit will isolate immediately even if an operator attempts to hold the rocker in the active position.
Ideal Applications
- Marine Electrical Systems: Primary protection and isolation for anchor windlasses, bow thrusters, and marine inverters.
- Caravan and RV Setups: Main circuit control for DC-to-AC inverters, hydraulic levelling systems, and high-output battery chargers.
- Off-Grid and Commercial Vehicles: Heavy-duty switching for winches, air compressors, and auxiliary power distribution buses.
Upgrade Your Circuit Protection
Ensure your high-amperage equipment is protected by industry-standard hardware. Add the Blue Sea C-Series 60A Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker to your electrical build for safe, streamlined, and dependable power management.
