Blue Sea 6-Position Independent Circuit Breaker Block
Blue Sea 6-Position Independent Circuit Breaker Block
Suits Snap-In CLB Resettable Breakers - Tin-Plated Copper Terminals

DESCRIPTION
Isolated Multi-Source Power Distribution for CLB Resettable Breakers
The Blue Sea 6-Position Independent Circuit Breaker Block offers a modular, marine-grade solution for managing up to six completely isolated electrical circuits in a single compact footprint. Unlike standard common-source distribution blocks that feed all circuits from one primary input, this independent configuration provides individual input and output terminals for every position. This allows system designers and installers to integrate multiple voltage sources, separate battery banks, or switched and unswitched power feeds within one centralised mounting block.
Designed specifically for compatibility with snap-in CLB series resettable circuit breakers, this block transitions your electrical setup away from disposable blade fuses. By utilising thermal push-to-reset breakers, you eliminate the inconvenience of searching for spare fuses in the dark or on the water, allowing for immediate circuit restoration once a fault is cleared.
Engineered for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments
Built to withstand the rigours of high-vibration and moisture-prone environments, this circuit breaker block is constructed with high-conductivity tin-plated copper busbars. The tin plating is essential for marine, caravan, and 4WD applications, as it significantly reduces the risk of galvanic corrosion, oxidation, and high-resistance hot spots that frequently plague standard unplated brass alternatives.
- Six Independent Circuits: Individual input and output screw terminals for each breaker allow for mixed power sources, varied voltages, or isolated switching circuits.
- Quick-Connect Clips: Compatible CLB series circuit breakers snap directly into the terminal clips, reducing installation time and ensuring a vibration-resistant mechanical hold.
- Tin-Plated Copper Conductors: Provides superior electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance in coastal and humid conditions.
- ABYC and USCG Compliant Cover: The clear clip-on polycarbonate cover protects against accidental short circuits and features integrated recesses for square identification labels.
- Bi-Directional Wire Access: Breakout tabs on the insulating cover allow neat cable entry and exit from two directions for clean loom routing.
- Secure Ring Terminal Connections: Side-mounted screw terminals are designed to accept standard ring lugs, preventing wire pull-out under heavy vibration.
Streamlined Installation and Customisation
Achieving a tidy, compliant wiring harness is straightforward with the Blue Sea 5050B block. The screw terminals are positioned for easy tool access and accept crimp-on ring terminals, which offer a far more secure connection than standard spade terminals when travelling over corrugated outback tracks or choppy seas. The transparent insulating cover snaps firmly into place, shielding live terminals from stray tools or shifting cargo while keeping circuit status clearly visible.
For installations exposed to weather or spray, the cover is designed to accommodate optional push-button waterproof boots or dress nuts directly over the breaker buttons. Please note that CLB circuit breakers, waterproof boots, dress nuts, and square labels are not included and must be sourced separately to suit your specific amperage requirements.
Ideal Applications
Because each circuit is electrically isolated from the next, this block solves complex wiring challenges across a variety of mobile and off-grid platforms:
- Marine Vessels: Consolidate house battery circuits, start battery electronics, and 24-hour bilge pump feeds into one organised location without cross-connecting battery banks.
- 4WD and Touring Canopies: Manage ignition-switched accessories alongside constant power feeds from an auxiliary lithium battery system.
- Caravans and RVs: Create a reliable, resettable distribution hub for lighting, water pumps, and communication gear with clear circuit labelling.
