Blue Sea 6-Circuit ST Blade Independent Fuse Block
Blue Sea 6-Circuit ST Blade Independent Fuse Block
Isolated Inputs for Mixed Sources - Tinned Copper Clips (No Cover)

DESCRIPTION
Versatile Multi-Source Power Distribution for Custom Electrical Systems
The Blue Sea 6-Circuit ST Blade Independent Fuse Block provides an adaptable and robust solution for managing complex DC electrical installations. Unlike standard common-bus fuse blocks that rely on a single positive feed, this model features six completely isolated circuits with separate input and output terminals. This independent architecture makes it ideal for wiring configurations that require multiple power sources, mixed voltages, or a combination of switched and unswitched (24-hour) circuits within a single, consolidated footprint.
Engineered to meet rigorous marine and automotive standards, this independent fuse block simplifies wire management in 4WDs, caravans, camper trailers, and marine vessels. By centralising your circuit protection without forcing all accessories onto a single shared busbar, you gain full control over how power is routed and protected across your setup.
Why Choose an Independent Circuit Design?
Standard automotive fuse holders often fail to accommodate complex dual-battery or multi-voltage layouts without requiring multiple separate blocks. The Blue Sea BS-5037B solves this by allowing each of the six standard ATO or ATC blade fuse slots to operate autonomously. Installers can run a 12V ignition-switched feed to one circuit, a constant 12V house battery feed to the next, and even a 24V feed to another, all while maintaining neat, centralised wiring.
- Six Isolated Circuits: Individual input and output terminals allow for mixed voltage setups, dual battery routing, and separate switched or constant power feeds.
- Tinned Copper Fuse Clips: Corrosion-resistant tin-plated copper construction minimises electrical resistance, reduces heat build-up, and maintains reliable conductivity in harsh marine and off-grid environments.
- Secure Terminal Compatibility: Screw terminals are designed to accept both ring terminals and snap-fork terminals, providing vibration-resistant connections for mobile applications.
- Reinforced Mounting: Integrated mounting holes allow for secure surface installation inside canopies, electrical cabinets, and boat consoles.
- Compact Open Design: Supplied without a cover to suit enclosed distribution panels or custom electrical boards where immediate visual inspection and fast fuse access are prioritised.
Engineered for Harsh Environments and High Reliability
Inferior grade fuse blocks often utilise brass or untreated steel contacts that corrode rapidly when exposed to coastal air, humidity, or temperature fluctuations. This degradation increases resistance, leading to voltage drop, melted fuse holders, and intermittent accessory failures. Blue Sea Systems mitigates these risks by utilising tin-plated copper fuse clips. This material selection ensures low contact resistance and minimal thermal dissipation, protecting both your wiring harness and connected electronics over the long term.
In high-vibration environments such as corrugated outback tracks or choppy offshore waters, standard push-on spade connectors can work loose over time. The screw terminals on this block accommodate captive ring or snap-fork terminals, ensuring your wiring remains mechanically locked in place.
Ideal Applications and Important Exclusions
This 6-way independent fuse holder is suited for a wide variety of low-voltage DC applications:
- Marine Vessels: Separating bilge pump float switches (constant power) from navigation lights and helm electronics (switched power).
- 4WD and Touring Canopies: Managing circuits split between starter batteries, auxiliary lithium batteries, and ignition triggers.
- Caravans and RVs: Organising multi-zone lighting, water pumps, and communication gear inside dedicated electrical lockers.
- Industrial and Commercial Vehicles: Routing mixed 12V and 24V control circuits in trucks, machinery, and service bodies.
Please note: An insulating cover and fuses are not included with this model (BS-5037B). Because the terminals are exposed, this unit is intended for installation within enclosed electrical cabinets, protective boxes, or insulated compartments where accidental contact with the live terminals is prevented.
