Blue Sea 50A C-Series Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 50A C-Series Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker
Magnetic-Hydraulic Protection with Common Trip Bar & Rear Studs

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty Magnetic-Hydraulic Circuit Protection and Switching
The Blue Sea C-Series 50A Triple-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker delivers robust electrical safety by combining circuit switching and overcurrent protection into a single, compact device. Designed for demanding marine, off-grid, and industrial power systems, this unit simplifies distribution panel layouts by eliminating the need for separate isolation switches and fuse holders.
Engineered with advanced magnetic-hydraulic technology, this circuit breaker provides consistent performance across a wide range of operating conditions. Unlike standard thermal breakers that can suffer from nuisance tripping in hot engine bays or equipment enclosures, magnetic-hydraulic mechanisms rely on current flow rather than heat to trigger a trip. This ensures the 50A circuit breaker trips strictly on overcurrent events, maintaining reliable power delivery in fluctuating Australian climates.
Simultaneous Multi-Pole Disconnection
Featuring a triple-pole configuration, this breaker utilizes three white toggle switches linked by a durable common trip bar. When an overload or short circuit occurs on any single pole, the internal mechanism forces all three poles to disconnect simultaneously. This simultaneous operation is critical for protecting complex multi-wire circuits, three-phase AC setups, or multi-pole DC systems where isolating all active and neutral conductors at once is required for safety and equipment protection.
Engineered for Maximum Safety and Reliability
Safety is central to the Blue Sea C-Series design. The unit incorporates a specialized trip-free mechanism, which means the internal contacts cannot be held closed manually during an active fault. Even if the toggle actuator is physically held in the "ON" position, the breaker will still trip internally to interrupt the dangerous current flow, reducing the risk of wiring damage or electrical fire.
- Integrated Functionality: Combines manual circuit switching and automatic overcurrent protection in one panel-mounted unit.
- Magnetic-Hydraulic Design: Ensures accurate trip thresholds that are unaffected by high ambient temperatures.
- Common Trip Toggle: Three linked white toggle actuators ensure simultaneous disconnection across all poles if a fault occurs on a single line.
- Trip-Free Operation: Internal mechanism disconnects the circuit during a fault even if the switch handle is manually held in the closed position.
- Heavy-Duty Connections: Equipped with rear terminal studs and hex nuts to support secure, low-resistance electrical cable terminations.
- Secure Installation: Built-in brass threaded mounting inserts allow for dependable front-panel installation in high-vibration environments.
Built for Demanding Electrical Panels
Constructed to withstand the rigours of mobile and marine environments, the BS-7287B features heavy-duty rear terminal studs with hex nuts that accommodate substantial cable lugs, preventing loose connections caused by movement or vibration. The front face includes precision brass threaded inserts, enabling clean and secure mounting into custom switchboards, marine dashboards, or off-grid power distribution cabinets.
